Seasoncard Renewals | Slight Price Increase

completely agree. I like we offer students cheaper tickets. However these students often aren’t city fans and we aren’t going to grow our fanbase with them. We’d be much better off offering locals those cheap tickets…. Long term it would benefit hugely

uni students who don’t support us get cheap tickets, but locals who the club was made for are priced out. Makes no sense
Always the case with students, crazy situation.

At one time pre Sheik days the students were given freebies and the clever ones collected them and sold them outside the ground.

The local match going fans have been badly treated by the club in recent years and it's high time they were looked after and respected. A stadium without fans and atmosphere is not good, I understand the need for corporate and high price tickets but not at the expense of genuine fans.

People need to stop moaning. City tickets aren't particularly expensive and no nobody is forced to buy them. The club is not a charity and needs to make profits to warrant the owners wanting to operate the business. We all know the cost of operating a business is ever increasing that's why prices always go up and never down, football is no different. If we want success we have to accept that we have to pay for it in some small way. Many of those fans complaining would be the ones complaining if the club failed to sign Haaland, big player money needs financially healthy clubs and that money needs to come from things like tickets prices. I'd prefer to be paying what I do now watching us as Premier League champions rather than the shower I used to watch years ago and paid less for.You can't have your cake and eat it.

I really don't get those saying just accept it because we are good and win stuff, like if we were mid table and won fuck all these increases.wouldn't happen.

Course they would so our present form is irrelevent
But we ARE doing well, so the club is keeping to it's side of the deal. So you can't complain about a hypothetical scenario that hasn't happened. If we start doing shit then complain about value for money tickets but not when we are soaring high surely

Anyone know how to get on the waiting list. My daughter is mad for it now and wants a season ticket. All the info is on renewals and relocations etc.

The 1894 statement isn’t just a criticism of the increase, though in the face of record profits and falling living standards it is unjustifiable and with ten increases in 11 years we’re in boiling frog syndrome territory here.
It’s also a criticism of the total lack of consultation with supporters on literally everything, the Super League fiasco last year, the removal of supporters to make way for enlarged advertising hoardings and an ever expanding corporate section. Unless people speak out then this lack of consideration for fans will only keep going in one direction.
We need more supporter representation not less, and even if you don’t agree with their statement, to brand it a disgrace is a bit OTT if you ask me.
And don't forget the scrapping of the points for away games rendering the points system as worthless signed off on our behalf by city matters

Every year feels like another missed opportunity to give long term supporters the sense of being valued.
I don’t think the club is missing an opportunity, because they genuinely do not value long term supporters, they actually want us gone. I am probably representative of a lot of “legacy“ fans, in that I spend little at the stadium on a match day. I walk to the game, so no parking revenue, pre match pints are in The Angel or The Bradford, I don’t buy merchandise etc. I’m not boycotting it or anything, it is just what it is. The club want my seat going to a twice a season visitor, part of a family on a travel package, kitting the kids out in the shop, buying hot dogs etc. It is just a business now operating on a U.S model and as a customer I just don’t get monetised enough. Every annual increase gets rid of a few more of us and that is the intention.
