I don’t remember anyone ridiculing you. I was one who said I didn’t believe that it was likely to be true. I’d guess that the more attractiveness of Liverpool as opponents would at absolute worse offset the number who were scared off going.

It’s looking highly likely we’ll have more there this time but I’d say that is mainly down to the undeniable increase in demand overall this season. And maybe a little bit to do with the lack of trains last year.
In my original post I did also mention both of these as factors that would increase the demand for tickets this year.

My point is that people were very quick to tell me that I'm wrong, "why would anyone not go to a fixture out of fear of trouble", however here's an example that shows that I'm right. I'm not saying its a massive amount by any means, but it's definitely a factor that some people do consider.
