Seat Counters - 2022/23

For a primarily working class Mancunian fan base, acknowledged as having one of the "poorest" demographics in the Premier League, some of the comments on this thread are startling.

Fucking hand-wringing at a few empties and questioning the loyalty of SC holders who list their tickets? Get a fucking grip and wake up to the reality of the current plight of families having to choose either putting food on the table or getting a few quid back by not attending a football match.

I'm a proud Mancunian, who lives 100 miles away in Leicester, one of many people in the '90s who had to choose between the dole or a job further afield. SC holder for too many years to remember. Every match is an away match for me. Factor in fuel, match tickets, a pie and a pint, it costs me and the good lady over £150 a match.

I listed my 2 tickets for the Brighton game because it helped pay a couple of bills. I'll probably be doing it again a couple of more times this season. One of many who will have to make a similar choice.

So, there might be a few empties (surprisingly few IMO). So fucking what? Look at the bigger picture FFS. Get your head out of your arse and think about what's going on in this country nowadays. If a few empty blue seats on TV offends you, kindly fuck off and support another club. Mancunians will be dying at home this winter because they can't afford their fuel bills, yet some on here will be more offended by the empty blue seat as a consequence.

I can't see any posts where people are offended by those listing seats?

Its the seat counting thread - posters included me have stated more seats than usual available and given reasons why thats the case?

Come on mate, you have questioned whether it's whether it's the "Haaland effect" slowing down, others have said Fulhams not a great attraction. Worrying about the reasons as to why exchange seat sales are not flying out the door. Is it really a worry in the grand scheme of things.

All I'm saying is that maybe, just maybe, people are skint.

The haaland affect on sales, not questioned anyone listing their seat once? One of my seats is listed on the exchange. You are reading into something thats not there.

I am making a general point, not pointing a finger at you, so don't take my comments so personally.

There's no greater sight than a full, noisy, vibrant full house. If it's not full, I just happen to believe there a far more important things to worry about and the reasons are far more complex than Haaland, trains or who we're playing.

Not taken it personally at all.

You are almost certainly right with your last comment, just seems strange to come in a thread specifically about seat counting and make statements like the below particularly when they dont appear to apply to any of the previous posts in the thread.

OK, you win. I can't be arsed going through the whole thread to find quotes that support my argument.

I apologise if I've upset the seat counting fraternity. Somehow, you have taken my views and turned them into some kind of stick to bash me with.

I'm pretty sure there's quite a few more people counting pennies rather than seats at the moment, but each to their own I suppose.

Enjoy the winter.

You do realise you can have an eye on citys attendance and understand there is world issues at large at the same time - they are not mutually exclusive.

Slagging city fans off and telling them to support another club wasnt needed.
