Seat Counters - 2022/23

You do realise you can have an eye on citys attendance and understand there is world issues at large at the same time - they are not mutually exclusive.

Slagging city fans off and telling them to support another club wasnt needed.
Slagging of City fans? Do me a favour. In my 10 years on this thread, thats a first, I can tell you.

I'm calling out the "City fans" who are more fixated on the empty seat than understanding the reasons for it being empty. There's a very big difference.

If you can't take my views, fair enough, you've made your point. But don't turn my comments into some sort of crusade to dig me out as a slagger off of fellow Blues.

I don't know one city fans who is bothered by empty seats, i cant see any posts from blues in the recent pages of this thread which deserved a comment of telling them to fuck off and support another club. As you posted it in this thread its a fair assumption to think its aimed at those posting in this thread particularly when you said 'some on here'.

Don't forget that the original stadium roof has never been conducive to holding noise within the bowl - on three sides the roof leans backwards - when they did the new South Stand Roof it was constructed with a downward facing roof which is much better at holding the noise in the stadium, but of course its only one end. I am convinced this is part of the problem
i tried to get a ticket for today but all gone, so i thought get brenford ticket and all gone, going to try and get a couple for next year now
Hi, sorry for jumping on your thread but I just signed up and don’t seem to be able to post a new one.
I was planning on taking my 8 year only over for a match in Feb or Match (Villa or West Ham) - what is my best way of going about this regards tickets? Should I get an adult and junior membership & would this almost guarantee tickets? There was also something about linking the junior membership to the adult one that I couldn’t fully understand.

Any advice would be much appreciated & we are fairly flexible on dates.

Tks,
Gavin

You got a way of getting to todays game fella? I’ve got an adult & child ticket going spare (done by the trains) for free, all you need is a supporters number so I can send you the tickets

I’ve got 2 free under 18’s tickets for SS1 119 for anyone who can get to the game today, only need an email address to transfer the tickets

For a primarily working class Mancunian fan base, acknowledged as having one of the "poorest" demographics in the Premier League, some of the comments on this thread are startling.

Fucking hand-wringing at a few empties and questioning the loyalty of SC holders who list their tickets? Get a fucking grip and wake up to the reality of the current plight of families having to choose either putting food on the table or getting a few quid back by not attending a football match.

I'm a proud Mancunian, who lives 100 miles away in Leicester, one of many people in the '90s who had to choose between the dole or a job further afield. SC holder for too many years to remember. Every match is an away match for me. Factor in fuel, match tickets, a pie and a pint, it costs me and the good lady over £150 a match.

I listed my 2 tickets for the Brighton game because it helped pay a couple of bills. I'll probably be doing it again a couple of more times this season. One of many who will have to make a similar choice.

So, there might be a few empties (surprisingly few IMO). So fucking what? Look at the bigger picture FFS. Get your head out of your arse and think about what's going on in this country nowadays. If a few empty blue seats on TV offends you, kindly fuck off and support another club. Mancunians will be dying at home this winter because they can't afford their fuel bills, yet some on here will be more offended by the empty blue seat as a consequence.
Well said in the main @Dodge, there are many reasons that people can't make the matches. We shouldn't have to give our reasons and the SC holders who list their tickets are actually doing their best to make sure that the seat is not empty. They (we) should not be made to feel guilty for not being there. Sometimes we feel guilty enough, even though it isn't our fault.

Give and take in this world today. It is hell enough as it is at times. Stick together Blues, stick together against the outside world. :-)

JMHO

If you have mobile tickets you can screen shot the qr code and send them over that way via a message or what’s app. I do this with my mates quite regularly as I’ve been away working loads this season

Yeah, I’ve done that a few times too, had a few problems early doors but seems to work. As they’re extras (not season tickets) you get an email with the tickets on that can be forwarded just as easy, then they can add to mobile wallet, takes any jeopardy away
