I was actually ridiculed on here a few weeks ago for suggesting that people might have missed out on the Liverpool semi cause of their Fanbase, but there you go.
To be honest I know plenty of people who won't attend matches against Liverpool, especially those with children. I went to the League Cup final against Liverpool in 2016 with a vulnerable relative and it was a truly appalling experience. Their fans, many too drunk to stand up, were pure poison all day. It wasn't much better for the Community Shield. I have stopped going to Anfield myself for the same reasons.I was actually ridiculed on here a few weeks ago for suggesting that people might have missed out on the Liverpool semi cause of their Fanbase, but there you go.

In my original post I did also mention both of these as factors that would increase the demand for tickets this year.I don’t remember anyone ridiculing you. I was one who said I didn’t believe that it was likely to be true. I’d guess that the more attractiveness of Liverpool as opponents would at absolute worse offset the number who were scared off going.
It’s looking highly likely we’ll have more there this time but I’d say that is mainly down to the undeniable increase in demand overall this season. And maybe a little bit to do with the lack of trains last year.
