Seat Counters - 2023/24

It was kids for a quid when they knew it was the only way they could fill the ground.

Now they can fill the ground with minimal kids discounts.

It might not be what people want to hear but the fact is you’ll struggle to find any business in any sector who routinely sell their product at significantly less than they know people are prepared to pay for it.

It hasn’t worked for Newcastle has it, so far.

fucked up the biggest opportunity City will ever have.

Treble winners with the greatest manager in history.

There shouldn’t be a ticket available for any game this year.

Vibey FA Cup 1/4 final at home on a Saturday evening against a big PL team yet thousands unsold.

All momentum has been lost long before another they have to deal with another 8000 seats being available.

Shame on all involved in ticketing.
Im involved with kids football, over 1000 kids at our club. I see loads of kids at training sessions, usually blues out number reds, imagine that back in the day!!?
I know for sure that a lot of those kids dads arent really football fans but their kids have chosen city.
If city get this right, get pricing right, itll secure our support for years n years to come. Continue fucking it up and those lads choosing city wont ever be match goers

It is getting bad. However, talking to a guy today who is an arsenal fan who went to the game tonight paid £99 for his face value, normal seat, not hospitality etc. Copenhagen the other night was at most £45 around the ground…
I paid £87.50 for me my wife and my son for Newcastle at home.
Under 18s are £17.50 in the family stand.
Based on tickets remaining it would cost me a minimum of £100 for me and my two daughters to go.

And it shows, with Level 1 and Level 2 close to selling out.

After you minus the Newcastle allocation, without going into exact numbers, we have to sell ‘45,000 tickets’ for the match to be a sell out. Nobody seriously doesn’t think we haven’t got 45,000 fans to buy those tickets and to sell the match out.

But we’re not filling the ground, far from it, add another 8,000 seats to the mix and we’ll be miles off. I don’t think anybody genuinely thinks it should be kids for a quid anymore but £30 is ludicrous, Liverpool charge £9.

Which game has been “far from “ selling out?

52000 @ £40 average - £1.82m
54000 @ £30 average - £1.62m

Club favours A over B. They won’t be losing any sleep over a few empty seats.

It will prob be close to a sell out by the day of the game I would imagine but if not then they won’t care. They may even give the rest away to schools/groups.

When I posted that I was making a joke comparison. I wasn’t implying City should sell kids tickets for a quid. But as you say, £30, regardless if that’s in L3.

Which game has been “far from “ selling out?

The rearranged PL games against Burnley and Brentford.

But were discussing a quarter final FA Cup game against Newcastle that is live on TV, with Newcastle getting a 7,5000 ticket allocation, or whatever their exact ticket allocation is.

I’ve no idea mate. We’ll find out Saturday. I’ll be very surprised if it isn’t more or less full though.

If it does sell out, then fair enough. But as of now, even though it is only Tuesday, it‘s way off from selling out.

As others have pointed out correctly, there will be another 8000 seats to fill for a similar match in 2 years time. Will the ticket prices for that match be similar or even more expensive by then?
