Seat Counters - 2023/24

As a season ticket holder I dont usually look at prices but those Burnley prices are ridiculous!!
How on earth are those prices going to encourage fans to make the effort considering the awful transport and increasingly impossible parking restrictions!!

There were a few threads at the backend of last season that seemed to be suggesting there were thousand upon thousand of loyal diehard members, who couldn’t get season tickets and were desperate for a chance to attend any game they could.

But the club were denying them the chance by not staggering the members window.

This seems to point to that number aren’t quite as great as people were making out. Or maybe there’s not actually that much interest outside the big games?

Those have no tickets left, it doesn't go up as sold out now if it is a PL Home game as there will be exchange tickets.

Burnley was exactly the same, no tickets left, but the away allocations are repurposed in the last month, then various seats held back for players, hospitality etc are put on along with Exchange seats.
Outside of those not taken up by Burnley, a lot will indeed be exchange tickets but if you look at East Stand Level 3, there are a disproportionately high number of tickets in a couple of blocks compared to the rest of the home areas. My guess is that a lot of those were originally earmarked for third party ticketing agencies and were never on sale to members before the start of the season, but have now been chucked onto the planner due to low take-up with it being a midweek game in January. Now if those had been available back in the summer, members might've snapped some of them up. Most fans aren't going to make that decision this close to the game though, especially with a rail strike on.

Or maybe a dad taking his young son can’t justify £100+ to watch us play Burnley midweek at the end of January

We've got loads of fans waiting in the wings but - and this is no disrespect to the opposition - Burnley at home in midweek in January is going to be a hard sell even to those fans who want to attend more games. Especially at £61-£63 for an adult ticket and £188 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. That's higher than any other club outside of London. In fact, it could well be the highest price in the country as I don't even think renowned rip-off merchants Arsenal and Tottenham would be stupid enough to charge that much for Burnley at home for a January midweek match.

I agree mate ...the pricing is ridiculous..
I'm a season ticket holder so I'm lucky but if I had to pay for games game by game I couldn't and wouldn't pay the prices that City are charging..
It doesn't matter whether it's Burnley or Barcelona we are playing our fan base is still predominantly working class Mancunians who are loaded.
I get that we need to increase profits to stay competitive but there is a limit to what fans can and will pay..

This would indicate there’s plenty of ST holders who also aren’t interested.
