Seat Counters - 2023/24

Same situation near me in 105. The 3 seats to my right were all season ticket holders who had to give them up. For a long time now it's been different people every game.

There's a season ticket holder further along the row who is desperate to get his son his first season ticket. He's contacted the club about the seats next to me and been told that they are now owned by a company so are unavailable to be sold as season tickets.

City have effectively blocked a lad from getting his first season ticket.
That is fucking horrible. At least when we were shit you could watch us

My lads have wanted them for 2 years. Instead I’ve bought individual seats and they’ve earned more money. Because of the queue when the tickets were released in the summer they missed out on the 4 biggest games and will miss all of them.
Fortunately, I got my two their season tickets when they were 4 or 5 years old (20 years or so ago now), so they have them for life.

On Sunday I was down at the Etihad taking pictures of the North stand construction work. The womens match had just finished and thousands of people were walking back to the car parks at the back of the Etihad Campus. Most of the City fans were women with their kids, mainly young girls. I felt sorry for them as individuals and as a families because most of them will never get the chance to see the 1st team play unless they can get cheap Carabao or FA Cup tickets. We have 1000’s of young City fans and their families who are desperate to watch the first team play but can’t get tickets for a PL match, or when they can get tickets for a PL match they are priced out. Thankfully City’s women won and everyone had smiles on their faces. The majority of the kids were wearing City shirts, City hats, City scarfs, etc. It was great to see.

They've been to every game for three seasons now and we've never been able to sit together. I will certainly be buying them a season ticket then.

Even more annoyingly, my Dad and his mate have season tickets right next to me, they are both in their 80s and I suspect this is their last season. There will be no facility for me to transfer those tickets to my lads and they'll just go on sale for every game again.

Renew them for them and just let 2 of the lads use them, the other use yours and then you only need to get 1 ticket for games. I've got my daughters ticket next to me which my lad uses when she cant make it he's 19 so you've got a few years of them getting in as a concession yet

I don't know the price difference between pensioners and 15 year olds , but say if you carried on paying for you dad and his mates season card, and your lads use it instead, you might get away with it.
I've known others to do that, but it's been an adult swapping between another adult, might be more difficult between a pensioner and a kid.
And obviously you would be having the original seasoncard holders name on it and some might not be happy with that.

Yes I've said the same in a post similar to yours

I’m going to do that but it’s only temporary because they’ll be 16 by the beginning of next season. And also one of them is for the disabled entrance although I don’t actually think that’s an issue.

All that matters is that the light goes amber and I’m sure it’s the same for an OAP and a kid. I don’t know about 16-18s but if they go amber too that would buy me enough time for the new stand.

In any case my dad hasn’t actually said it yet but he can hardly walk up to the stadium now. I’ll push him to keep going if we can facilitate that.
