What they should do is put the tickets on sale to all members who attended all 4 champions league games at the Etihad this season, then to those who attended 3 of the 4, then 2, then 1 and then open it up to all other members.

How about. Buy a City Citizens membership card, which enables you to buy a City v Real Madrid ticket. We’d get loads of people buying a City Citizens Card ticket just for that match and never to be used again. Even better if you are a ticket tout.

To give them a bit of credit, it usually stipulates for big cup games that you needed a membership on the day before the draw for any specific game.
