Seat Counters - 2024/25

I reckon the crowd could be under 45k. As discussed many times, it will be due to many causes including affordability and transport problems but the media will report it as Blues deserting the sinking ship.
After over 10 years of unrivalled success on the pitch, and numerous trophies, City should have grown the City fan base enough in Gtr Manchester to absorb unsold seats like tonight, when the tourists aren’t interested. City haven’t. We all know why that is.

It will be over 50K but there will be no shows and you are right, we will get absolutely hammered for it.

The fanbase has grown and some of the fans are on the Face Value Ticket pages that I quote on this forum, more or less every day. Many of the Blues who haven't got season cards have become more selective in the games they go to and prioritise buying tickets for games against the rags, Dippers and Arse when they can. Others with young families buy two or three seats together whenever they can. Today, I've resold for a mate an adult and U21 for Forest for £50

The Away Supporters Initiative isn’t law, it’s an agreement made by clubs to sell at same price. The cap is due to be reviewed next year, I can see it going up to at least £40.
Sorry I didn't really know how to word it. By illegal I mean it would be breaking premier league rules to sell tickets for more than £30.

And wouldn't surprise me if you're right about them bumping it upto £40 next year. Maybe even up to £50 the year after just in case there's any fans left.

You know, in a perverse way I'm kind of relishing this at the moment. It would be wrong to go as far as saying I'm enjoying it but this is where the true fans should come to the fore and get behind the team as much as we can because even those diehards amongst us have, dare I say, become a bit complacent due to the amount of success we've had in recent seasons. It's not just the players and management who need a boot up the arse - us fans do too. I pick and choose my away games nowadays and I wasn't intending on going to Liverpool as there are better away days than that, but when we lost at Brighton I thought fuck it and went. Ended up having a better day than normal over there yesterday despite the football. Someone on the coach gave me a tip off about a great watering hole just 20-25 minutes walk from Anfield and somewhere he's been going for the past 20 years when we play Liverpool and Everton. Got back to Cheadle afterwards and had another few scoops in the Royal Oak with some of the Cheadle Blues who are a great bunch before jumping an Uber home. Been feeling it today in work mind!

45K was probably too pessimistic but there are significant motorway road works on Wednesday night.

I hope it's a good crowd and we can lift the lads.
Funnily enough I suspect a good atmosphere. It could be a bit like that Leeds game we had about 2 years ago which was just before Christmas and a low crowd. Not sure we can score 7 though.
