Seat Counters - 2024/25

Wasn’t there 3000 returned away tickets though, so all the home tickets were sold now we are selling Leicester tickets. There will still be some tourists and there will still be loads of match day fans because they probably bought their tickets months ago.
I think the top tier holds about 1,200

I think it's the other way around. The fans who have stopped going to midweek games are the out of town seasoncard holders who find it difficult to get to these games, and we are reliant on locals coming to the games. That's what I think has been happening in the CL games but other people disagree. The data presented at City Matters which you can read online suggests that only 1 in 2 seasoncard holders go to the CL games. I don't think they presented any data on the postcode of the matchday supporters but it's likely they are predominantly locals.
I'm an out of town season ticket holder who can't get home after mid week games, so don't do CL games at all and put my midweek PL games on the exchange

That makes sense. I think there are a lot of fans in that position. And with fixture scheduling and more TV games the problem is getting worse. This is something that we can't really blame City for, or only indirectly. They should stand up more to the broadcasters but that has to be done collectively.

I think Leicester only returned the top tier about 1500 everyblock has spare tickets alot would be season tickets who can't go and sold back to the club but some blocks like 135 and 328 are what the ticket agencys have rows of seats next to each other

Yes I was wrong about the Leicester returns. The seats for sales will pretty much all be SC returns. Might be few rows of ticket agency tickets. I’m not that bothered whether SC resale tickets sell or not, and a couple of thousand empty seats on a Wednesday don’t really bother me either.
In fact ideally I think the optimum capacity would alway have some matches where there were a couple of thousand spare seats and sell out for others.

That is probably true and we shouldn’t want to discourage out-of-town supporters from attending the games. However, City could and should be pricing matches more reasonably for non-season ticket holders across the board. Don't price these folk out; instead, provide considerably lower prices, particularly to families, and more locals will fill in for midweek games. Continue to alienate non season ticket holders and as we’re seeing with Leicester, less and less will come.

I Can't see the sc resale selling now anyway as there £51 / £53 depending where they are as we still got about 560 of the Leicester returns at £30 sat together

How many went on sale for Everton this morning and how are many are left

With regards to Leicester there are multiple factors along with the price. Being midweek has been made worse this season by the lack of parking options since Jan 2024, the Haaland effect is wearing off, the Pep effect already faded and it was 8 years ago when we ended a season like this with no hope of a title at an early stage. The extraordinarily high demand of 2022-24 has peaked and started to fall, and if they have any sense prices should be mindful of this.

You are absolutely right regarding the reasons for the Leicester game. The decrease in demand has been visible for some time. The fact that none of our allegedly genius executives anticipated any of this and simply expected they could ride the Pep, Haaland, and treble gravy train indefinitely is actually rather concerning.

Thanks for the Everton update

The Premier League ( the clubs ) receive approximately £10 million per game from broadcasters for exclusive live rights in the UK.

I suspect they’d have to accept significantly less than that before they start making any demands of them.

Accept it’s the way of the world and my own circumstances- but home games on a Monday & Friday of the same week is horrendous for those of us that travel a long distance.

I’ll try to do both, but my 4x kids season tickets will have to go on the exchange.

And that's the problem. The game is run by the broadcasters for the benefit of armchair supporters.

Ticket in 101 for Leicester from City £53, less £5 discount so £48.
Ticket in 101 from livefootballtickets is £26 plus booking fee, total £33.80. They're are loads available.

My head hurts, it's 42% more expensive to get a ticket from City in the same block than from a touting site....even after paying City the £35 membership.
It's badly broken, someone really doesn't know what they're doing....

Possibly blues who've had enough of the club just selling cheap to make sure the club don't make another penny. Harder for the ex copper compliance manager to snoop than the FV sites

Where do you even start with that. 100% agree. It’s actively damaging attendances. YCMIU

The £35 membership was a rip off and has put many off even bothering to get tickets now we need them to attend. Those who didn't bother getting Memberships have been proved right not too, no point when you can get tickets significantly cheaper on a tout site!

I said this would be a shit show when it all started, would put off the next generation and promptly got shouted down by many who said i was clueless (as they believed the “sold out in July” PR spiel) that was pushed at the time. Well its coming home to roost now…
