Seat Counters - 2024/25

Now opened 535 aswell, 30 and 45 pounds seats available
547 has come back on sale with 45 pound seats available

novelty has wore off very quickly, at the minute we have the sales of an mid sized league one club, i bet the owners look sometimes and wish they had invested elsewhere, the apathy is off the scale, i know it's been an average season, but the lack of energy from the support is worrying.

#worrying times

I think it also shows the lack of foresight of our owners about our local fan base.

We have dominated for the last decade and more, but we've not brought in our local fans due to ridiculous pricing.

We should have kids begging to get down to Wembley like I did in 1981 for a chance of seeing the Blues.

We've lost a generation when they were there for the taking.

If United ever recover...they will be pissing themselves.

There are about 350 greyed out seats in 535, 534 and they have 426,566 seats on sale in these block as at 19.11 hours. That means sales are continuing at a reasonable rate assuming these blocks were full of empty seats when they were opened today. If you use the current empty seat numbers in these 2 blocks we can easily track the sales.

I don't think you can argue that because we sold out the Community Shield game this Summer.

Because they made the sales too restrictive for too long.
I think your analysis earlier was spot on. Most fans decide early on whether they’re going to attend these types of games or not, and if the criteria is too restrictive in terms of fans not being able to buy for other family members or friends who don’t qualify in their own right then they’ll bin it off in all likelihood. If the club then leave it too long to open up the criteria then most people will have already made their mind up and made other plans. Sure, there will always be a minority who might make a u-turn and decide to go so there will still be a trickle of sales following the initial rushes.

I looked back at the Community Shield criteria for the game at the start of the season and right from the start fans were allowed to buy 2 tickets instead of 1.

Exactly. And if you want to buy additional tickets for your kids they aren’t going to be with you. It was obvious this was going to happen.

I think the semis being at Wembley is the biggest factor in this not selling out. The cost of doing potentially two trips to London/Wembley within one pay cycle is too much for a lot of people. I can understand why fans would hedge their bets and wait to see if we get to the final before shelling out hundreds of pounds.

We all know the price of trains, the price of tickets (particularly final tickets), the food and drink, some would prefer to stay over for the night of the game etc. it's just too much within the space of 4 weeks.

Its just my feeling that City have probably 35-40k regular match going fans and that's who you're asking to fork out the money.

City only get 11p in the £ for tickets it sells so I doubt they are too worried about a few thousand not selling few tickets.

The fact that city absolutely rinse our own fans with our staggeringly expensive home matchday pricing won't help either. People are skint.
