Seat Counters - 2024/25

I don't really buy that. Everyone knew they would get a ticket at some stage.

You were either going or not. Unfortunately it was mostly not.
I don’t think they did. Most people aren’t seat counters or have them to lean on for advice. I think that a lot of people would have taken kids or family members or friends but once they’d bought their own seats that’s it. Plans were made, travel sorted etc. The evidence is before your eyes: they did a “plus three”‘thing with the charity shield against arsenal and they all sold out fairly quickly.

It's logistics. Always underestimate.

Plus a massive chunk (estimated at 7000) which didn’t go on sale.

Sales around the 20k mark or could be lower.
Well it was all the blocks I counted apart from the grey blocks which I believe it's sold out in them areas, anyway tomorrow it's general sale I believe

There are about 350 greyed out seats in 535, 534 and they have 426,566 seats on sale in these block as at 19.11 hours. That means sales are continuing at a reasonable rate assuming these blocks were full of empty seats when they were opened today. If you use the current empty seat numbers in these 2 blocks we can easily track the sales.
The new blocks 535, 534 are selling steadily. They have 401, 540 seats respectively at 10pm compared to 426 and 566 at 7pm.

A lot of blame on the prices, kick off times , too many trips to Wembley etc.. which is true but the big elephant in the room is the apathy and lack of passion from a lot of our supporters. It’s the worst I’ve known it , a lot of our fans simply cannot be ar**d and I have a lot of my own mates in this category. I suppose it’s the price of success but it makes me sad big time , especially looking at other supporter bases flourishing . Get behind the lads FFS , Pep and the team deserve better

The teams performances dropped off a cliff this season and it has rubbed off on the fans.

I live roughly 1 hour 30 from Wembley and even I was thinking twice about going to this so I don’t blame folk swerving it coming from Manchester.

It’s not the form for me it’s the boring football and the lack of connection with the club in general. Top level football has become so cynical with players cheating at every opportunity, ticket prices through the roof and grounds are just full of tourists who are there taking photos getting in the way.

I follow Dorking wanderers home and away and get much more from that then watching city these days. Sad but it’s true. If the game was on the Saturday I would have watched Dorking play chesham united instead. Top level football is just a bit shit these days

So why is this not selling out?
The site won't allow me to buy extra tickets unless they are in my freinds and family group. Others are having similar issues. The club have had so many opportunities to get this right over the last 14 years, but still don't have fan friendly systems in place.

Well put them in your friends and family group,it takes approximately 30 seconds to add a supporters number and name.
You can't expect the club to do it for you.

I got slaughtered for saying this, and it is exactly this, look on twitter, look on Facebook, nothing to do with cost, just not interested, we don’t have a passionate fanbase anymore, if you were keen you would find 30;quid for a ticket no problem

So you think that supporters who can't get to see games against the scouse the rags and tarquins should pick up the slack when the tourists can't be arsed?

A very very good turnout at the Palace game and a lot of the tourists were absent, many many fans have to buy a citizens account and spend £35 even before they don't get the chance to attend a big game. There are 140,000 matchday members and they can't all get into the ground and the big match tickets don't even get onto the site.

This club isn't growing a local support base and hasn't been doing for quite a while.

There are 6/7 blocks completely empty, anybody can sit with anybody, the fact that people are using a “late night” as an excuse, it’s pathetic, still thousands of 30 and 45 quid tickets, if you genuinely wanted to be there, you would, simple as that.
