Seat Counters - 2024/25

After all the doom-mongering tonight's crowd was higher than I expected.

City's average attendance has never been so high, but that's based around cheap season tickets (especially in the Family Stand) and quite often those supporters choose not to attend the less attractive fixtures, particularly the midweek games in December/January

Ideally these returns would be sold ridiculously cheap but that wouldn't be fair on those people who've already paid a higher fee for an individual ticket

According to transfermarket which is a reliable website, our average attendance is 46k this srason
Is this correct?
A 7k drop off on recent years

It appears that some fans who have listed their ticket on the exchange for Forest instead had their United game sold by the Club.

For anyone else who may have been impacted, I have already raised this with the Club. They are aware. The Club will ensure each fan is called to make sure that they did want to list United and it will be resolved if not.

I was amazed that a couple of united tickets popped up on the seat exchange on Monday morning. I bought one for my son. Maybe it was one of these. Our ticketing software is full of bugs, it’s an absolute shambles, and I’ve missed out on tickets through bugs in the past. It’s utterly outrageous that bugs should exist in this kind of software but they do and some have lasted years.

There’s absolutely no chance we’ve had an average of 7,000 empty seats this season. Tonight I could maybe believe it and maybe even more at Feyenoord.

Looking forward though it’s hard not to fear the worst about midweek matches at this time if the year when we have 8,000 more seats to sell and the club have decided NOT to sell season tickets!

Unless they’re prepared to do something radical with individual ticket prices then these matches will become a bit of an embarrassment.

They've had a few issues with this game, Me and my lad put ours on the exchange after the spuds game, midweel games are a pain for both of us. A couple of days after listing them, we were told they had been sold already. Today at about 4pm, we both got emails saying they hadn't sold, and we could still use them tonight, yet the ticket wasn't available on either of our phones, so had we turned up we wouldn't have got in. I'm 4 hours away, so an email 2 hours before the game is absolutely useless, even if I could suddenly go ( couldn't anyway).

Is that supposed to be bums on seats rather than tickets sold as published by the club?
46k seems a bit low if it's PL games only.
Whatever or wherever they've got that from it's pure bollocks, I didn't go to the Feynoord game or tonights, but haven't missed any others, and there's been few empty seats, so it's neither "bums on seats" or "tickets sold", just pure shite.

One away team didn't sell the 3rd tier out (Sothampton probably) but even that didn't have more than 1000 missing.
