Seat Counters - 2024/25

That's the problem the club find trying to sell them at the last minute
The other big problem we haven't up our local.support into regular match going fans .Because of the crazy way we sell tickets plus the daft prices far to many ( me included) are used to putting our feet up and watching on telly or in the pub.If I was offered one free last night I wouldn't have gone
I would rather wait for cup games which ticketsv are easier to get and along with other armchair supporting mates will have a few beers in a pub then sit together in the ground
Fair play for trying to get shut of them
If Forest hadn’t taken all 3 tiers of the away end. (Credit to them), I think City would have discounted tickets being sold in the South Stand L3 like they did against Brentford last season.

It is 100% the clubs fault. You reference a worldwide social media following and that worldwide income stream, and the tourist market, is what has been chased relentlessly at the expense of the relationship with our core local support, which has been priced out and disrespected for years. Last night, pre Xmas, midweek, dark and wet, is just the sort of game City should be seriously discounting and trying to rebuild the bridges a bit, but they don’t seem interested at all. The new stand and hotel will be full of tourists for the big games, if we remain successful. If we don’t, there will be a lot of empty seats to count at a lot of games, especially midweek.
Nah. The club has some degree of blame, I won't disagree on that. However, it's too convenient to just pin it all on them.

Taking a sample of my mates on our city fans WhatsApp group, this week, approximately half of them said that they couldn't be arsed going last night because... (One of the below reasons)

- Just can't be arsed
- Got other plans
- We're playing shite
- The league is over anyway
- It's only Forrest
- The weather is crap
- The kickoff time is too early
- It's on Amazon Prime and I'm a member

If the WhatsApp group is extrapolated across our entire fan base, it would definitely be unfair to say that 100% of fans don't go because of ticket pricing.

Take it you were home before the final whistle then?
Applauding the team off after the final whistle, like I have been doing for the last 50 years.

The most visible empty seats were in the family stand, in blocks we know wouod have been sold to season card holders. There weren’t enough to get worked up about.

If Blues won’t make spares available or if families of 8 go down with sickness on the day of the game, there is very little the club can do to fill those seats. It’s not really about price cos it’s one of the cheapest areas of the ground.

Btw, I have an unpaid part-time role that’s mainly about growing the Club’s fan base. Also known as running an OSC Branch.

You cannot take one match in microcosm. That type of apathy will always have been present, whenever it rains, or we lose a couple of games, etc. The big underlying problem is that the club has adopted ticketing, pricing and membership policies that has reduced enormously the pool of local match going blues that would pick up the slack when a few of the more easily deterred drop out. The occasional attendee, possibly with kids or grandkids has been priced out and once the even occasional match going habit goes, it goes. From my perspective, City have put all of their eggs in the lucrative corporate and tourist basket, and neglected completely initiatives aimed more locally and affordably. As I originally said, that is great, just as long as we win week in week out, and keep the tourists engaged at top dollar. If we don’t….

Fairs points well made

There will be an additional 3k season tickets next season
No, there will be an additional 3k flexigold tickets next season.

Flexigold is a £150 membership that allows fans to buy tickets for each Premier League game.

They're restrictive (you HAVE to commit to going 3 weeks in advance and you cannot transfer your ticket if something comes up and you can't make it. You cannot use the ticket exchange either).

They're extortionate (for a fan who wants to attend all 19 games, they would pay an additional £150 compared to someone who is lucky enough to have a seasoncard).

We need to ensure fans do not buy the club's crap about FlexiGold.... We need actual seasoncards, not new memberships designed to increase revenue for the club (at the expense of fans).

The fairest route the club could take is to offer everyone the option of either flexi gold or a normal seasoncard and let the fans decide which is better for them. The fact they're not offering that choice lets you know exactly who's benefiting from the membership type.
