Seat Counters - 2024/25

Tickets are still selling on the Face Value pages so If you don’t want City to charge fans about £70, there’s still a decent chance you will get your money back (1/19th of season card).

Yep. BBC was Friday nights and ITV Sunday afternoons IIRC
They were sparse until late 80s when ITV got the contract, then they seemed to show one a week but were not allowed to show any until a month or so into the season. The later 80s ones were all Sunday bar Liverpool v Arsenal the 1989 title game from what I remember.

City were on in the late 80s on Sunday in Div 2, the game v Villa in 87/88 when Morley got sent off for an elbow. Pretty sure that was ITV, also sure we had a very poor record of games live on TV only the Villa win. Even when on Sky we took ages to win one. Can't remember any until Ipswich when Lomas scored in 1997.

City guaranteed refunds if listed yesterday and they came flooding on in the last 2 days. My block from 0 to 12.

True mate. Am I right in thinking that the deadline has now passed or can we expect loads more returns from season card holders?

IMHO, fans need to make a choice between convenience and helping fellow Blues to get affordable tickets.

Think the Villa home game was 89/90. 2-0 defeat but weirdly I think only shown on Granada and Central rather than across the whole ITV network. The return fixture as you say was on the whole network.

We had that famous 3-2 win at Blackburn on Easter Monday 1995 which was live on Sky

Yep who could forget that Blackburn game. The villa match I was thinking of was actually Morley's debut on a Sat in 88 and it was indeed the 89 one on telly at home.

Didn’t we lose a couple at Goodison too?

The match day tickets are excessive prices. More affordable tickets need to be made available when the expanded North Stand opens. That said, when or if I can’t afford the prices anymore I won’t go to every home game. I will go to the FA Cup games and other cheaper tickets.

Many kind Blues offered to give away Forest at home tickets away for free and it was donkey work.

We lost 2-0 there on a Sunday a couple of months after Kendall had left to manage Everton.
Beagrie summersault - think that was the 2nd game in two seasons on TV there, the first was the 0-0 the season before when Kendal had just taken over. He brought Megson back into the team who made an 8 yard sideways pass into touch as his first action without a player near. That is the only thing I remember from the game.

This is what happens when the financial lunatics take over the asylum. Empty seats at home on Boxing Day...

The finance/commercial executives should be removed from tickting matters.

The simple ambitio should be to sell 60000 tickets to City fans for EVERY home game an to deploy flexible affordable pricing to achieve it.

Maximising revenue from non corporate seats must be for the birds....fans first !!

Theses empty seats are RETURNS!
The game was sold out

These will still probably sell out again before kick off
As for cheap affordable tickets ?,all that will happen is they will still sell them as they are cheap ,people will still not go if they cannot be bothered or even worse ,sold to a third party and end up back on ticket sites at inflated prices ?

I applauded ur Citizen Smith attitude to this ,but I do not think you have really thought it through ?

Block 306 has 162 seats available, most of which are in 1 block of seats all next to each other. They are returns yes, but not from season ticket holders, they are returns from tout sites or off site hospitality.
If City had just sold them as general admission in the summer, even at the disgusting prices they are on there at, they probably would have sold, but through sheer fucking greed they held them back from proper fans and are now desperately sending texts out informing people that they can have up to four tickets, this is the week before Christmas.
Incidentally, I checked that block yesterday and there were 162 available then, not one ticket has sold, and this is just one example, we’ll be nowhere near a sell out for fucking Boxing Day.

When it comes to ticketing, the club have completely and utterly lost the plot. There is no defending them. I agree with a previous poster, people should be dismissed from their job and a complete reset, with new people and new ideas is needed, otherwise the extension is going to be a disaster.

Any update on Ipswich?
"Post (Away Tickets)Tickets will be posted to the lead purchaser via Royal Mail Tracked 48 post, approximately 2 to 3 days prior to the fixture."

So they may to you by the morning of the game, and if you want to stay over after brentford you can swivel.
