Seat Counters - 2024/25

For a semi-final, when we know demand isn't going to be sky high, I don't see the issue with offering criteria like:

Weds 9th: All SC holders can buy
Thurs 10th: All members can buy
Friday 11th: Open sale + SC holders/members can buy +4 additional tickets.

Here we are on Weds 16th and some supporters still can't buy tickets. I'm speaking to a friend in Greece. Him and his Dad want to come and watch the game, they've been to 2 games at the Etihad previously, but do not currently have a membership. They cannot buy their tickets yet and it now means they've had nearly a week where they didn't want to book flights/hotels just in case.

It's madness.
If you have criteria like that then loads of people will say it’s not fair etc. City can’t win regardless. I like the first few parts of your idea but it should never go on open sale. Asking for trouble.

They've been doing this for years. Charity Shields too. People decide whther to go or not very quickly and it can get too late. Throw in as well that people might be a season ticket holder with friends or family who are not. By the time the criteria for their friends comes around it's too late, they've booked a train, they can't sit with them, whatever. If you consider that we sold out a couple of Charity Shields (including the one with the boycott) by putting tickets straight on sale, then this is another big fuck up by thte ticket office.

It was obvious straight away this one would be a slow seller.

if you have a season ticket/membership you can buy them and forward them on

You can't put them on "Open Sale" as such because it opens the possibility of the fans of the other team buying them. This is the best they can do. Or those with a previous purchase history regardless of if they are a current paid member would perhaps be a possibility
Seasopn tickets or members plus three is almost open sale. They should have had that option on day two.

How are you getting this figure?
Because blocks 527-534 haven't gone on sale at any point. I did a rough count of the number of total seats in the blocks opposite when they we're on sale and it comes to around 7,000.

So that would suggest around 7,000 are yet to go on sale as a rough estimate

logged on 15:01 and was 663rd, what’s goin on?

EDIT: can’t find any £30 tickets, think they’ve all been snatched up

Surprised about that. Last year thousands of members took up the slack when it they could buy extras

novelty has wore off very quickly, at the minute we have the sales of an mid sized league one club, i bet the owners look sometimes and wish they had invested elsewhere, the apathy is off the scale, i know it's been an average season, but the lack of energy from the support is worrying.

Or the lack of money?

Think you have to have the first window for those on the cup scheme, that’s part of the deal. After that your system would work fine

The pricing on the planner doesn't look right. Upper Tier tickets were £30 and £45 (at the front) but the upper tiers still on sale are showing the whole blocks as £70 even with different category colours. That can't be right surely?

Probably because those blocks with different category colours have sold out of the cheaper ones?
