Seat Counters - 2024/25

I bought another Wembley ticket at about 5 pm. I want an update as a result!
Remaining seats:
Level 5: 2019
Level 2: 923
Level 1: 1913
Estimated seats offline on Level 5: 4200. This might differ a little to what other people have been using.
Seats remaining: 9055
Allocation: 36230

Sales: Up to 27,175. A doubt remains over whether all City's remaining tickets are online. If they are not, then sales will be lower than predicted.

They are still selling slowly, and perhaps the rate might pick up tomorrow with last minute sales. It's looking like we will get to 28k which I think is reasonable given the number of times we've been to Wembley. No doubt this will become a media story but the explanation is clear. The seasoncard well is not bottomless. Their levels of enthusiasm for Wembley semi-finals are falling.

Thank you

OK they are not scared.
Is it you or people who have told you or people you have read about who won't go to home matches because there might be away fans in the home end. ?

And if you know them, is it because they want to batter away fans and therefore scared of retribution from officialdomthat they will not attend. ?

I am intrigued as a City fan of over 60 years who has been in numerous home ends due to my allegiance to mcfc and never once felt guilt or trepidation.
It’s not the only factor but it’s a large one.

They're old school blues in their 40s and 50s none of whom could be described as shrinking violets. They like to let off a bit of steam at the game and the sanitisation of match days has hamstrung them in this regard.

A member of our little group was banned for several months in the 22-23 season while the club investigated an alleged assault involving an away fan. A similar thing happened to a mate of a guy I train with too and gradually all these little episodes and the stories you hear online forms a picture of a club that doesn’t care about its own fans. It won’t give them the benefit of the doubt in a situation where, most match going fans would agree, there had been sufficient provocation to justify giving someone a dig and the consequences for the home fan involved in such a fracas are far more severe than for the away fan.

So yeah it makes you think twice about spending a grand on a season card that can be withdrawn at any time on a whim especially when the amount of away fans in home areas has reached absurd levels.

Conformation that then that the empty seats were from non-attending seasoncard holders. It seems obvious but there were some other theories going around.

City managed to raise match-day prices this high because of the success and a contented fanbase.
It doesn't confirm anything of the sort Marvin.

They count tickets distributed. So yes, they'll count all season card holders regardless of whether they were there or not, whether they listed on the exchange or didn't bother. They'll also count any other tickets given out, which will include tickets given to resellers, whether they sold or not. If they gave 1,000 tickets to colleges or universities they'll count those as part of the attendance whether used or not.

If someone from the ticket office was stood on Market St giving tickets away, those tickets would be counted as part of the attendance even if no one used those tickets.

How you could look at those distinct, contiguous blocks of empty seats on Tuesday night and conclude it was just season card holders defies logic. It was patently clear that, whoever they'd given them to, the club had distributed large numbers of tickets to third-parties that hadn't been sold.

The semis should not be held at Wembley. It's an expensive day out for northern fans and the detracts from the final. But you're right the enthusiasm has dropped for semis, especially after the amount of times we have been. We have dog care issues this weekend otherwise I would have gone, if we get through then I will try for a final ticket.

Not really looked but I'm assuming the Villa game was Category A, hence the high prices!

They could have got around that when it was shifted from Saturday to Tuesday night and changed it to a lower / the lowest Category!

Reckon that idea should be put to the Club by City Matters as a consideration for future seasons?

They have deemed Bournemouth a high Category just because It's the last home game when really it should be the lowest.
Basically they can decide what they want.

How have you concluded that of what Prestwich Blue has said.
Either your grasp of English is poor or I am going thick.

Edit, having seen Prestwich Blues reply, I'm not thick.

It shows how clueless the club are. I think most blues would have expected a 4.30pm Sunday FA Cup semi final to be a tough sell if we released it as one ticket only initially.

Some might have been unhappy if season ticket holders were able to buy a couple from the outset but that would have helped us shift several thousand more I reckon. It would allow people to plan as far in advance as possible, take kids/partners and sit together.

The Bournemouth game has been sold out since tickets were released back in August.

Large swathes of seats have suddenly appeared at the top of blocks 304 and 306.

The ticket exchange is not live until three weeks before the game. I wonder where these tickets have suddenly appeared from and which agency owns them? @Marvin.

Could you not buy for others on your friends and family list and assign them their tickets?
I did when I purchased my own ticket, clicked on two seats and got two, one for me and my mate?!

Stop being so fucking stupid.
I assumed that the official attendance is the count of sold seats.

I have seen that many times before. That is characteristic of the sales process. Games that are sold out initially then present later with non-seasoncard holder seats at the back of the stands. Whether they are seats that the club has withheld from sale, or seats that are returned from ticket agencies I don't know.

No. The PL rules specify tickets "distributed", which includes complimentary tickets. That's the figure that gets published but I believe they also have to report actual attendance. We were given the real figures at City Matters and there could be a difference of 7000+.;

I think we always knew that the actual attendance is less than the quoted attendance because not everyone who has a match ticket shows up, but what is being claimed is that the official attendance is also false in that tickets delivered on a sale or return basis are regarded as sold. I would regard this as fraudulent. That would be quite serious. I have not seen evidence for that.

I am being accused of being thick but what I am doing is being sceptical of claims made which is the function of a community.

If they were eligible to buy too yes. I mean taking kids/partners or mates who didn't have a season ticket. Just allowing the option to buy two from the outset. The semi was never going to have a huge uptake because of the kick off time and the number of times we've been to Wembley since 2011.
