Seat Counters 25/26

To be fair pal….it doesn’t change the fact that the Etihad looks like it’s gonna have 1000s of empty seats for a cup semi final,2 nil is a DANGEROUS score….the team need a FULL stadium,or at LEAST near enough….am I/we asking to much?
Must be the missing one who have packed it in and cancelled there season cards

Getting full loyalty points for non attendance at home games mate.
Getting 190 points for purchasing a season ticket isn't going to have much effect on your points total.
Are you suggesting you shouldn't get the 190 points up front and you should only get 10 per match if you attend ?

I’m talking 3 or 4 years of season card and cup scheme points if people are away at Uni and can’t come back for a game.

I don’t want anyone’s points withdrawn. I’m just pointing out a bit of general hypocrisy / self interest on the forum.

I’m more a fan of people using their initiative so if people can get away with it then fair play.

Now the loyalty points system is set in stone it doesn't matter any more ,it's a complete waste of time even issuing them at all ,the old city matters properly shafted us big time .

Didn’t know I had to pay a £35 fee just to have a privilege of buying match tickets this season. Because I haven’t paid that and not bought a ticket this season I can’t purchase tickets. It’s a fucking joke. Thousands of seats left for tonight too. Do they want bums on seats or not?

So tonight was going to be your first game for a long while And you were deprived of your birthright" Blue for life".

And it sounds like you are proper legacy local too.

To stop Newcastle fans getting tickets after the cup draw. There's method to their madness
No need to do that, the Club have purchase history via Supporter Numbers going back at least a decade. Very simple to limit it to people from Greater Manchester who have bought non Newcastle game tickets previously and sell loads more tickets.

If thats the case, the club has shafted itself for no good reason and they are more useless than many already think they are!!

You don't need a paid membership, and you don't need to have attended this season.

You just need a supporter number that has bought a ticket at the stadium since 2003.

Have you tried to buy? I logged into my daughter's lapsed season card, not bought a ticket since 2016, still allows her. Also it seems people with tickets can buy extras so any F&F could sort you out.

Nope not at all. I am 61 and have invested decades in the club financially by attending. Just seems insane that there will be thousands of empty seats tonight. Like jumping through hoops.

It isn't though.
If you wanted to go you could have bought a ticket.
You have just jumped on a bandwagon.
That was the point I was making.

There are also many who post criticising the club when away fans have seats not in the away end.
It seems to me some want it everyway but loose.
I am not critical of you for not attending, it is your choice.

Something definitely needs to be done, but rather than deducting points for non attendance (which under the current archaic points system won't make that much difference) the club should be incentivising and rewarding full attendance

For example, I'm in 119 and pay £840 for my Seasoncard
However I'm also in all the cup schemes and thus far at 100% attendance in a season that's already guaranteed 28 home games

I don't mind paying £900 next season but with a refund of £100 if I attend every game or maybe £50 for 90% attendance

Then again why should the club listen to me?

I'm just an ordinary supporter who was involved in an industry that studied price elasticity for 25 years
I don’t think seasoncard holders are the issue at all.

There’s no point punishing SC holders who miss games, or trying to push them to attend more, when matchday tickets are still regularly available.

Tonight is a good example: someone who bought a ticket but couldn’t make it hasn’t stopped anyone else from going.

We’re adding thousands more seats next season, so the real priority should be getting people back. I’d start by contacting the seasoncard holders who didn’t renew over the past five years and finding out why they stopped coming.

Have I got this right

If you have had a supporter number assigned since we moved then this number is valid and enables you to get tickets if and when you qualify

Therefore the £35 is for newbies who have never had a supporter number

If so I wonder how many people don’t realise this and thereby don’t apply for tickets or worse still buy a new number

From memory my wife once joined and got a supporter number about 12 years ago we still have the plastic card I’m sure I used it a few times a couple of seasons back

A mate of mine spent 2 hours on the phone to City yesterday because he wasn't able to transfer his ticket for tonight to his own daughter. It eventually got sorted but seriously, how many people are able to spare 2 hours of their time for something that should be a simple task? I'm sure many other fans in his position would've just sacked it off after a while, in which case the seat wouldn't have been filled.

Limit it to people from Greater Manchester?
I wasn’t gonna bite, but I can’t resist ;-)
I was born in Greater Manchester. Would that be ok?
