Seat Counters 25/26

is the price argument valid when theres £30 tickets for fulham not sold?
Yes. It’s not about individual games, it’s about 17 years with 14 price hikes that have priced fans out and made them feel unwanted. It’s years of building up the most expensive match tickets outside London (until we protested about it last season, and they’re still very expensive for children) which made people stop bothering looking at getting tickets because they don’t feel wanted by the club.

Our club have taken our core support for granted and never tried to understand what kind of fanbase we are. It’s now biting them in the arse.

There could be the odd games that are cheap, but there are thousands of fans who don’t ever bother looking for tickets anymore. When you price a fan out, they often look at other things to do with their money an/or time or just get used to watching on tele.

To get those fans back, the club can’t just make some games cheap. They have to make the bloody effort to reëngage with those lapsed fans. The club need to make as much effort with these lapsed locals as they do the worldwide tourists, to get them back… with a fucking apology, to boot.

How on earth are we going to sell all those tickets in the north stand and all the new hospitality areas?

Unless something changes, we could really end up with thousands of empty seats next season, for games like this

The club have gone about it all the wrong way round.

The new North Stand tier should have been driven as a big atmospheric stand with £300 Season Tickets and £30 matchday tickets. It really should have been the ‘Wonderwall’.

Then, all these GA+ and Hospitality seats should have been created elsewhere.

They could have made my ST in 105 an expensive padded seat on the halfway line of the bottom tier had they enticed me to move to the new NSL2.

Daytrippers paying a premium for tickets won’t want to be paying these prices for bobbins behind-the-goal views. They’d probably expect to be paying for great views along the side for the expense it will be.

The hotel should have been on the East Car park and the back of the North Stand should have been a world class fan zone.

Depends on a number of things I guess.

At Maine Road I had a season ticket and my girlfriend didn’t want to go to every game. So I had mine, and she had one next to me, but only wanted to go to every other game, so a pal who lived in Nottingham used to come over for the alternative games she didn’t attend. Approx 1 match a month served them both well. I’d take along the season ticket books/cards and both seats were filled every home league match, barring illness/emergency.
I’m a citizen member these days, but if I could do this from next season, I’d take two in the new stand straight away, and they’d be filled every league game.

When we moved stadiums, I transferred the season tickets and we were located in CBL3. We used to be sure to arrive in good time and use pay on the day parking, on a school yard site on Palmerston Street. Worked well.

Anyway, a couple of things there that might make a difference in terms of your comment about the new North Stand seats next season.

Ticket exchange go off sale 3 hours before kick off.
Been in that boat, so approx 2000 fans will get a mail, sorry we didn’t sell your ticket but your ticket is still available for you to attend, hence, the ticket in effect is still sold to the season ticket holder, presume this then counts on the official attendance?

Finally it's hitting home, loads of empty seats at Chelsea, Spurs, Everton. Particularly surprising at Chelsea with a smaller stadium, decent form, chasing top 4, london based, but the same issues are common, restrictive ticket transfer policies, requirement for a transferee to have a £60 membership (Everton), general cost of living squeeze, declining and diluted athmospheres, and just better value competing attractions available. Not enough tourists in a February midweek to take up the slack.
Take no crap from anyone about our attendences, we are leading the fight back. The constant slide into disneyfication, and grasping for hospitality and tourist revenue at the expense of existing fans is absolutely killing the "product".

Far to many games working class fans have not got bottomless pockets this will be the trend moving forward also VAR and ticket agencies are just winding football fans up and once you stop going you don't bother going again

If we are winning they’ll be sold

The club haven’t listened to the fans. The club never intended to listen to the fans. All along the club did want it wanted to do. The 3000 safe standing seats spread across NSL2, half of which are along the sides, which are the hardest seats to sell and fill. The NS expansion is a match day revenue expansion. Simple as. City Hall hospitality and the Cross Bar hospitality just announced are prime examples of that.

What a mess. (posted by Hello City)

Thanks for posting. I had no idea the standing areas were arranged in such a way. First impressions are that doesn’t seem ideal.

There’s fucking tons available for Salford. Another complete cock up by the wankers that run our ticket pricing. X3 the price has really worked, hasn’t it?

On a day with no trains, and many will have to drive or get taxis, zero common sense applied.
It’s only going to get worse next season.

The lunatics running the ticket selling asylum aren’t going to change the way they sell tickets and transfer tickets next season.

The BBC published a 39,000 attendance tonight, but then deleted it.
We all have our opinions, but in my opinion the BBC are just shit stirring clickbait cunts playing to the gallery
Loads of leg room, but nearer to 45000+ and they fucking know it.

Tonight was yet another midweek game and then we'll have the train farce for Salford and Newcastle

The club are making lots of mistakes but we need to cut them a bit of slack for the rest of February

I didn’t think there were as many empty seats as Brighton, but most of them were in the family stand and 3rd tiers.

We’ve just beaten Liverpool and we’re in 3 points of Arsenal. It should be sold out really and full. I know about all the issues (transport, traffic..) as well
