Seat Counters 25/26

I don’t know what a lot of that has to do with what I said mate?

When the owners first came in, we had very decent prices, I was paying sod all for my season ticket. The club was making huge losses. Now they obviously wanted to make it profitable eventually but there was less burden on clubs across the league to make profits, ticket prices are partly affected by the need to squeeze every penny to meet PSR/FFPR, in my opinion.

In 2006 I was paying 600 quid for my season ticket. It was hardly peanuts.
Most clubs are not making profits.
West ham just posted a 100 million loss last season.
Mufc make a big loss every season.
Chelsea are a million in debt.

The massive growth of infrastructure needs to be paid for. Cheaper tickets for youth should be a priority, but the rest of us need to be prepared to pay 50 quid , or simply watch games on the screen.

Sorry if I was rude.

Where were you sat? I’m fairly sure my junior one in the mid 2000s was £95 and adults were £300 ish on average?

clubs make less losses now than they did then, because of the rules in place.

No need to apologise, I didn’t take it as rude.

I was talking to a young lad at work today.
He's a Bolton fan.
He said he went to a champions League game to watch city.
He said so matter of fact.
Yeah I got a ticket cos you don't sell out .
I wanted to react .
But he was right.
For what ever reason .
And we all know why we don't sell out.
I watched to Blackburn game last week.
And our fans then were amazing.
When we pulled in to park on the coach that day was like Wembley blues everywhere.
I used to think we had the vast fans in the country.
I remember going away to forest just before the spurs quarter final.
My mate is a forest fan.
He said when we were bouncing and singing he could feel the Trent end vibrating.
He said they didn't have fans like that.

What the fuck has happened.

I remember going to pre season at Stockport.
And Oldham the amount of blues was amazing.
Now we have Bolton fans laughing at us..

Can I add I'm part of the problem I don't go anymore.
I'm just watching the Birmingham game pitch invasion before we played Blackburn.
I'm the fat bald fucker in the striped jumper doing a backwards roll.

City at that time was my life.
It was literally everything to me.
Now....
I have to force myself to watch on TV .

On our mini bus the older lads used to sing.
You are my angle .
You are my dove.
You are man city.
Your the one I love .

I love city .
But they don't love me anymore .
Ctid
The hardcore from the 70,s 80’s are dying out , we lost a huge chunk of upcoming support when that lot were winning everything .
The club has sanitised our support, we still have a few characters and lads that follow us .
I personally believe a lot of local supporters feel alienated for numerous reasons .
Had a season ticket for over fifty years , City use to be everything to me , now at times it’s a chore to go to the games .

The last time I had a pint of Carling was after the 4-0 v Bournemouth. Got to a pub in town to see the rags get pumped from Brentford. Absolute piss water, had to return it twice and get a bottle of cider instead.

Think someone mentioned that they now do Madri which is a better option.

Stella on draught went at my cricket club last year, ran out of everything else on bottle and can… so carling it was, first sip and I genuinely spat it everywhere, no exaggeration.

Absolute cat piss.

The fact that it’s 16 suggests they are going to return the rest. They’d have opened up another block.
Potentially not, remember they won't have anyone in the office with it being weekend so it might have to wait till Monday before new blocks get released maybe?

Anyway down to 3 left around 4,400 sold in my opinion.
