I like the service..it enables people to go when demand is high... it stop seats being empty in the stadium..

Hey, nobody is denying their right to make money off of OUR money. The service they provide, in my opinion, is not worth an 800% markup, which is why I will not be using it.

The only reason I can see you making a post such as the above is to garner attention towards yourself, as you cannot possibly be defending an 800% ticket markup.

Well i think I got lucky as listed it as soon as I could so it was 1 of first entries-2 seats next to one another Row B, Block 202. I only list it as last resort though if I can't get a friend to take ticket at face value.
I guess they'll make their money for the big games where ticket office sells out.

Furthermore, whilst the difference between the selling price and the purchase price is shared with the Club to pay for the operation of the service, the portion retained by Seat Exchange also goes towards offsetting the significant sponsorship fees we pay to support the Club as an Official Partner.

Seat Exchange also contribute to the Club through our sponsorship fee, by sharing revenues from the secondary ticketing service itself, facilitating additional concession revenue from seats that would otherwise be empty, and increasing Seasoncard sales and renewals.

SeatExchange,

Using our money to pay for your sponsorship agreement is a poor excuse. You pay that money as you recieve a business advantage from advertising your brand and selling your services. Why you are using the excuse that we must help fund your advertising is unclear to me.

The point of the original user's post, is that he did not recieve a fair price for his ticket. 'Fair' is determined by market value, and £4.43 is far below the market value of that particular ticket. If anybody apart from yourselves were to sell a ticket for this price, they would be labelled a tout. I will never be using your services, and would go as far as disencouraging my fellow season ticket holders to do so. If they cannot attend, then they can pass it on to a friend instead of continuing to support your advertising.

Thanks,
Damocles

great post that damocles. £4.43 for a £46 ticket is outrageous.

was going to use these tonight then read the thread! I'm away so cant make the game this weekend but I have my tickets. If anyone can think of a way they can buy them and go then PM me and I will give you the details etc would want £25 each for my two tickets as this is what someone was paying but has let me down tonight! My old man has the other ticket but is at his place in Spain while I'm in Cornwall!!!
Any ideas/buyers let me know.
NMF! Surfin it up in St Ives

I went on their site just to see how much they offered for my ticket and they didn't even have a valid security certificate when I attempted to fill in my card details.

hmmm its all very disappointing.never realised what a rort this would be. i got a ST to save a spot for next year when ill be living in manc, as such will only be able to make the last 3 games of this season. was never looking to get all my money back, but was hoping the seat exchnage program would work for a few games-alas it is a joke!

other problem for me to do it any other way is the logisitics of having to post it back and forth. im going to see if any of my mates are without one over there, otherwise what would any blues suggest?

surely with paypal and that something could be worked out?

Exact same boat mate. I got £33 back for a £38 ticket, which is acceptable. But I don't want to rely on such a rorted service.

There were lots of people on here who wanted a season ticket but couldn't afford one.

Offer it for sale for £250 (minus the final 3 games) and I'm sure someone will have it off you. Everyone's a winner then.

I can understand why the guy who emailed SeatExchange only got £4.43 for the ticket, it was a kids seasoncard and, as such, he only paid £5 per match for it. If he were to make more than £5 a ticket he'd be profitting from the ticket, which isn't allowed.

What I don't understand is why the ticket is only allowed to be listed at full adult price, he should be able to list it at kids price (i.e. £5) and, should an adult buy it, then the purchaser would either have to give the ticket to a kid or get the ticket office to upgrade it to an adult ticket, and pay the difference directly to the club. That way SeatExchange make a small (and fair profit) on the ticket sale (57p) and City prevent anyone trying to play the system and get into the ground on a childs ticket. It's not as if the club are missing out on revenue byt doing it this way, if the ticketholder were to attend they'd get no extra money, and they'd equally get no extra money if the ticketholder decided not to attend and to leave their seat empty.

Don't most people just give their ticket to someone when they can't make it to the game?
