Seats Being Removed

Not sure what the club has done wrong here. Unfortunately to accommodate the additional seats, at the bottom of the stand, the aisles will need to be widened to enable better egress.

It is unfortunate for those involved, and the amount of notice is an irritant, but I do not see what alternative the club has.
1) They could have told people affected BEFORE allowing them to renew and given them first crack at available seats. I can't believe they've just found out they need to vacate some seats.
2) It seems that they're not actually removing the seats if I understand it correctly as they're saying the seats may be available for some games.
3) It's not entirely clear why they're moving people. I have an aisle seat at the back of 109 and haven't had a letter so who are they moving and why?

Very shabby from the club and I really don't like the way Soriano is running it and the way it's going. They aren't talking to the fans any more. Even under Mackintosh they used to engage with us.

It is concievable that the club has only just found this information out. From newspaper articles it appears planning permission was only granted on the 14th Feb. Building Regs drawings and specification would need to be submitted with the council or an AI, who are granted a two month consultation period, to check the structual design and consult, for a commercial development, with the fire service under the Regulatory Reform Order. It would be pointless to advise fans prior to this being approved. Im actually amazed things have been completed so quickly.

Of course this is all based on it being in relation to the new building work. Its all conjecture at the minute.

Well I think Marco's guessed it right. These seats are most likely being claimed back now for the stewards to sit in once the additional front seats are installed. When people begin to sit in the new front row foxholes there's nowhere for the stewards to crouch down behind.

As for availability, it was the same last year when I queued up at the ground, nothing in Level two East or CB. We were going to move again this year to get a dry seat but we've decided it would be fruitless to even try on Tuesday.

If, like me you like the side perspective of a game not the ends you may find your view goes from pitch side front seat to subbuteo view in the gods at the back of level three.

I wish you all luck today in the relocation lottery. My advice, get in early.

i had wondered about moving but get the same impression as you , nothing available in the areas you would want to move to. what were 'the queues' like last year?

Don't forget that it's not just the people on the row ends that will have to move but the family and friends they are sat next to as well. Could be quite a few seats.

Last year people had started to queue from the early hours! 7am time.. There was a healthy queue before 9am, by 10am it was a big queue and it moved really slowly. Everyone in the queue was also queuing on the phone which was log jammed as you'd imagine. Slim pickings in summary on relocation day last year.
