Seats by postcode. Would it work?

I think we should have a few games where only those that live within the manchester post code can attend. The club would prob save on the electric bill by not needin to open the second and third tiers !.

And lock the doors until the game finishes - there'd be no excuse for leaving early.

I think this post code idea is simply splendid. I can sit in some comfortable sofas with a warming rug over my knees under the outdoor heaters, sipping vastly over-priced Cabernet in a theme park style piccolinos patio... No commoners, no poor use of grammar, no vulgarity and a jolly good view of the passing play... when does it start?

Not read the whole thread, but what if you go to the games with your mates from different post codes ?
You have friends from other postcodes? How quaint.

LOL.

Being serious for a moment. I think designating certain blocks for certain areas / supporters clubs etc is fraught with difficulties.
The fact that Garry Cook originally designated the whole of the North Stand as the Family Stand has led to the "empty seat" problem
that we still see today in that area. I travel on a football special bus from Cheadle to the games and there is very much a mixed
demographic of support on that bus. A lot of the younger lads stand in the South Stand, I sit with my mates in the Colin Bell and
a lot of the older fans sit in the East Stand. Age I think is a bigger determinant than area on where people locate within the ground.
Trying to group fans together based on any one criteria will however lead to excess demand for certain parts of the ground and shortfalls
elsewhere.

My post code is Withington, but that means I'll put up with those Didsbury neighbours smoking in the toilets.... ;o)

That would be hilarious, thinking about it. Us commoner's here in North Manchester would get to vent our spleen towards our southern cousins as they sip their tea and eat their cucumber butty's, (sorry, sandwiches), and discuss the latest index in the Financial Times.

;-)
You've not been to Wythenshawe, have you?!

How would it work for those of us who live outside Manchester?
would we b able to see from WA9 St Helens?

You would be able to see Suarez and Sturridge every other week.

Even worse for me, WA2. I am in the local with the armchair Rags.
