let me talk about Coates, he was the best player in 2010/2011 season in uruguay, and with 20 years he already had a under20 mundial, is second capitan of first team in Nacional, he has plaed copa libertador 2009 (semifinal) 2010 and 2011, and in several times he was named the best player of the match

have good control of the ball, in this match (the derby agains peñarol) he assit the striker, well he is already in "titular" in the team of uruguay in copa america, whit good performances, i don't want him to go, because our team(Nacional) is coates +10, but he deserves,

This guy looks a steal. The question mark is over Mancini's intentions with regards to Savic. We've got Lescott, Kompany, Toure, Boyata and Savic. 5 players competing for 2 spaces. The conventional amount of center backs is four. We're pushing it as it is. To bring in another developing defender would be HIGHLY unlikely. Believe me, I don't like admitting this at all. I think such a signing would quite possibly guarantee City's prowess.

Think, in the unlikely event that Coates did sign, then the departure of a central defender would be inevitable (kolo). In addition to that, a central defender would eventually be demoted to a purely rotational role (not Lescott, Less Scott.)

Greetings everyone from Uruguay. Let me tell you a few things about Sebastian; I knew him back then from when we were both playing in our respective youth squads; he started playing as a defensive midfielder, but that position was well covered (by Facundo Piriz) and he was about to be set free when the physical trainer suggested him to try playing as a central back; at first he was a bit skeptical about it but then he gave it a try and with hard effort he became one of the best defenders Uruguay ever had. (I'm only 20, but that's what you hear from the old guys in the stadium).
Respecting his personality, he is very respectful, well educated and humble (He always used the 19 in his back instead of a A-squad number) and I can't recall him ever being sent off. Seba also played 90 minutes per game the entire season being Nacional's support in the back; ando also creating a couple goal situations (Example against our traditional rival penarol: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZgN9IgrVUc&feature=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZgN9Igr ... re=related</a> )
He was named captain a couple times too, and scored also a couple goals.
For obvious reasons, Nacional can't afford to retain him, but he has always played a key role in defense.

Hello, I´m from Uruguay too.
I agree with Pacha, Sebastian have a very good level. I watch a lot of Premier League matches and I can tell you that in PL there are a few defenders like Coates, in my opinion de only one that is better in this moment is Vidic.
I know that you´ll be thinking that hi`s an unknown player. I´ll bet that in five years he will be in the worlds top 3 defenders.
I wish that he could be at least one year more with us but I know that this may be very difficult, so i wish he can go to a team with big expectations.

Yep. Lescott and Kolo may become a thing of the past come January of 2012 if we continue at this rate. :)
