Security at the Etihad

I would have thought it slightly more difficult to target the stadium from the inside as most games are all ticket now and on the whole bought in advance.I think after season ticket holders are out of the equation we have about eight thousand floating tickets, most of which aside from the away fans go to blue members anyway. A bigger danger would be security and service staff who are in general a temporary constantly changing lowly paid workforce. A terrorist could get a job and smuggle a weapon or explosives in as they are unlikely to be searched themselves.

Most of the ground's perimeter can be closed or secured so to stop non match going people wandering around freely maybe it would be a good idea to set up ticket checks and nobody without a match going ticket is allowed into the vicinity. This has been done at grounds before at big games so it could be reintroduced now.

The busy transport hubs coming and going to grounds is a more likely and easier target and no matter how many measures are in place nothing is 100% certain of stopping an attack. Stay safe Blues and keep your eyes open for anything looking suspicious no matter how small and report it, hopefully the person you report it to doesn't effect the usual couldn't really give a fuck response.

No matter how small? That could be anything. For example, are we going to report any fan who is seen reaching into a bag? I expect that several thousands will do that. I would be surprised if many fans are capable of identifying the beginning of a terrorist attack before its too late. It used to be that there were obvious warning signs such as a rucksack left unattended. But these days the suicide bombers don't bother leaving the bombs anywhere. I think we're better just treating the match as any other.

I'd be taking a look at very recent members buying a single ticket. That security fella at Stade de France did pretty well - look at all the coats and stuff we'll be wearing from Saturday onward when the weather turns cold.

I would have thought a suicide belt at a PL game was a very realistic plan. What better way to hit at the world society they seem to hate?

It must have been tried already tbf, I wonder how many pre-emptive raids there have been before big matches?

I'll be going to the match with no fear whatsoever... Fuck em'

I feel sorry for any ISIL supporter as Da Blazin' Squad will be in waiting just in case...

The EPL is a prime target I feel due to its global exposure but would the fact ISIL's main profits come from selling oil on the black market play in our favour perhaps?
I'm no expert in trading in that region but their oil is going somewhere....
We could be supporting ISIL as we drive to the stadium and not even be aware.

A quick shave, long thick green Parker coat, £8 primark jeans, Bucket hat, and a pair of Adidas sambas.... They'll look just like the rest of us.
