One consolation blues we are are a lot safer than that lot at the YANKEE climbing frame
More people die from smoking than terrorist activity...
JJ
What entrance do you normally go in bud?
It's for me... This is where I get searched often.
As I think it was PB pointed out, if a terrorist wanted to hit people at our Matches their best bet is walking from under the canal onto the bridge leading towards the car park... As the stewards stop people from crossing the road... Few hundred people.. bang [emoji27]
It's free reign on that bridge.
I went to see the Yankees a few years back and had a backpack with me as I'd been out all day.Not sure exactly how they do it but i do know they have tighter security at sports stadiums than we do.

Why? I have only just got used to being up there!

I'm in Row E. I'd much prefer to have everybody in front of me so I can keep an eye on them.
You could say the same about any major supermarket, you don't get patted down in Asda. A lot of the increased security is for show. What entrance do you normally go in bud?

Fair enough. .I would rather have it beefed up.I went to see the Yankees a few years back and had a backpack with me as I'd been out all day.
I wasn't allowed in with it and had to queue up to pay for it to be looked after across the street and then queue up with thousands of others after the game to pick it up again, it was near to midnight when I finally got it.
I think I was then in more danger walking the empty streets of New York.
I also don't want the 'full' search that I got in Ajax, Barcelona and Sevilla for just watching my football team, if that had happened anywhere else it would either be sexual assault or it'd cost me a fucking packet!
The terrorists want us to live constantly in fear and for our lives to be disrupted as much as possible. No going for a drink before the game as you'd have to there hours earlier and nothing after the game when the bars and pubs will be shutting up early to avoid trouble.
No thanks.
It's up to all of us to be vigilant at all times and to report shit that you see.
Fuck me they are that slow we'd all be dead before they got it out.Give all the ball boys guns I say
imagine if someone lets off firecrackers at half time in the concourses , mass panic :)
However, you'd get very poor odds that some idiot will let off a firework or two outside the ground on Saturday.Hilarious.

I'd rather get blown up at City stadium in a good mood doing something I enjoy than Sat in a hospice rotting away with dementia
You can take as much care as you possibly can but it will do nothing to avoid being blown up by some **** with a suicide vest on.ALL BLUES AND LIVERPOOL FANS JUST TAKE CARE ON SATURDAY,
SunniMany of the conflicts in the muslim world seem increasingly to be fuelled by tensions between Sunnis and Shia muslims. I don't know which branch of Islam the Sheikh follows, but whichever it is there will be some crackpot groups who regard him as an enemy.
But its still a tiny risk.
