Security at the Etihad

Living in fear = terrorism wins.

You're more likely to get knocked over crossing the road by a fellow blue rushing to get the kids home after the match than some Terrorist.

Oooh nooooo let's ban all cars, no wait; let's make sure every car is limited to drive at max. Speed of 5mph because speed kills right?

Meh... I'm gonna write to MCC and get them to remove all Kerbs near the etihad just in case you trip over the Kerb, bang your head, and die....

I'll even suggest the McDonalds near the etihad gets closed down as that's probably killing more blues every home game than any terrorist strike will ever do.

My routine ain't changing one bit.

I'd rather die than live in fear :)

ALLAH CROSSBAR

I regularly went into the stadium last season with my bag from work still with me (about 10 times) and only had it checked once. They had a look inside, saw the clothes and sent me in. I always thought how easy it must be to get some form of weapon in, even just under the clothes when they peered in. It all seems a bit too easy, but I've never felt unsafe inside the Etihad.
Exactly.......same as my post at the start of this thread

Pre-match patrols from the blazing squad?

Maybe you never take a bag, if you did you'd know that the stewards look in bags every week. We've took the same backpack since maine road and every match it's opened and checked.
Ok...I believe you...but this is way different from my experience going into the ground.

Well maybe it does vary depending on which entrance, i just know that they always check on ours, cos mum gets really grumpy about having to open it even though she knows it's coming!!! And she's a pensioner, not a tough looking yob (she's a yob in old clothing maybe?!) so it's not like they only check youngsters.
