It's understandable that people would be more apprehensive right now but well, for most of us, the best possible tribute that we can pay to the victims of terrorism and the best possible reply that we can give to the terrorists is to live our lives.
 
Not to mention you are going to be far more likely being injured in your four hour car journey than by a terrorist attack..

Send her to the Trafford Centre while you go to the match. You'll have nothing left on the plastic but at least you get to see the game. ;-)

It's too obvious for our security/intelligence people. Life is much more complicated than that don't you know.

By the way I detest the fact that before you make a point that I would think the vast majority of the population would wholeheartedly agree with, you have to caveat it a number of times just so you don't get called silly names.

Does this apply to Khaldoon and Sheikh Mansour too? Makes you wonder how we coped when the IRA were at large..............
 
They wouldn't pick us as a target as they will be looking for a big game, we have no history, anyway the Fuckers won't stop me from going.
 
During the blitz we didn't have electronic communication, very few homes even had telephones so we just got on with life. That is what we need these days as well and I'm sure that that is what will happen. What is it they say? All news is chip wrapping paper within 9 days. (I know that newspapers are not used these days because of health and safety issues but the sentiment is there)



And I am not trying to trivialise the horrific events of the past week just saying that life will return to what passes as normal in a few weeks.

This guy has been on tv recently he had been jailed for harassing people saying they were in a Muslim area etc, he has now says he was wrong etc and taken up MMA as a way to integrate into society more, oh the irony.

The majority of the IRA were known to the intelligence community and for wantof a better word a bit more civilised, their targets were usually military or associated with government bodies or other para militaries, I know there were civilian casualties over the years, the difference here is that there are too many unknowns and these bastards don't care who they kill even themselves.
 
There's no evidence to suggest racial profiling works, unless the desired effect is to create more resentment in minority communities (which is the exact thing ISIS thrives off). They're trying to create a divide between the west and Islam. Let's not help them do that.
