Seeing City fans in public

Living in Newcastle its very rare to see one. I used to have a mate in Primaary school who's dad was a city supporter like my dad, but he had died, he used to tell me all about his dad and man city. Football is almost like a medicine for people and its such a great thing to make a connection with an other person who you dont know.

I always say something just to show they are not alone. On my way back home from a match one day and saw a young lad with a home shirt on. Thats the first time in 8 years i've seen a fellow blue in my area wearing the shirt in public.

God bless you city.

I was in a super market in klang, malaysia I was the only european in the place wearing my city top and as we were paying the bloke being served on the next till was wearing a city top which in a rag and dipper obsessed country was quite rarer than a lee bradbury goal. both nodded and went our seperate ways.

Was also in New York forgot my shaver so went to chemist sorry I mean drug store near the hotel to buy one. The bloke behnd the counter was from moston and first question he asked was blue or red. Couldn't believe it fly halfway across the world and the frst person I have a conversation with was from the same place as me.

On holiday this year in Mallorca there was a lad knocking around where we were staying. I'd seen him a couple of times wearing a City shirt, Tevez on the back, Prem League badges on the arms. When I saw him with his Dad I said "nice shirt, you are bringing your lad up well mate". I got the shock of my life when it turned out they were German and the Dad then goes on to say he was a united fan. I left it there when he said that but I was really surprised to find Germans so interested in English teams. Full marks to the lad for defying his Dad and choosing City.

In Kenya 05 I was in the bus and I saw a local with a City shirt (grey Eidos), I shouted 'Blue Army' out of the window to which he looked round and gave this lunatic white guy hanging out of the bus window a wave and thumbs up.
Over in Berwick on the bike the other week I saw a Blue shirt, shouted 'Blue Army' as i rode past slowly, took the guy a second or 2 before he waved, saw a car with a City window sticker in Hawick too.

First post and all, gotta start somewhere!

Was in Santa Cruz, North California couple years back, checked into a cheap motel I'd booked on line! Guy behind desk in a City shirt, obviously I got excited! Turns out when he saw the days reservations he saw my address and turns out he was from round the corner! Obviously took a gamble I was a blue and donned the shirt!

i saw a city shirt on the beach at Camber Sands yesterday, that was dedication, it was way too hot for a shirt.

Was at a pre season friendly a few years back between Tenerife and 1860 Munich. Spotted a bloke wearing a big thick padded City jacket. Turned out he was from Exeter and go into the blues because of Tony Book.

He must've been sweating his nuts off. It was about 80 degrees.
