Seeing City fans in public

Here in darkest Norwich there are a few, though not too many Blues.

I love it though when I'm walking through Norwich wearing a City shirt and when people just look at the shirt, look at the badge and I carry on walking thinking to myself......

.....yeah baby!!

Being over here in in Ragland whenever i see a blue
I go out of of my way to make contact.
We're few and far between.
Had a call a few week ago and two Welsh guys
on contract. Pissed me off when he saw the M.C.F.C.
sticker in my window and he asked " are you one of the new
city glory hunters?" before he'd even spoke to me.
"Manchester born and bred mate, 48yrs of age.
less of you fckin nonsense"

I was in Zanti (or some Greek island lol) a few years ago with my Elano 11 shirt on just before he went to Galatasaray and this Greek (obviously lol) guy came up shouting "Blue moon! You seen my singing a tune!" .... So we taught him the right version ;)

He then noticed I had Elano on the back and he just went hyper and started screaming "ELANO MY FAVOURITE PLAY-ER!" so I told him he'd moved and he was totally devastated! He asked where he'd gone to so I told him, Galatasaray. Well, I've never seen a guy go so mad, he was throwing his fists around and spat on the beach just saying "fucking galatasaray?!?!! FUCKING TURKEY!!?!??!!! TURKISH FUCKING BLOODTHIRSTY IDIOTS!"

Lol, they don't get on much the Greeks and the Turks ;)

On holiday a number of years ago in Barbados me and the misses jumped on a bus to go into to Bridgetown and this local rasta man was on with a Brother City shirt

You find us in the most unusual places. I was in Dominican Republic the other year and went on a trip to see how the locals live. Its a third world country over there and they have next to nothing but this guy smoking dope outside his shack had a city shirt on (cracked me up, parden the pun). The saddo i am now I have moved from Manchester and work around the country i have a city scarf in my back window to show my allegiance, if see another blue ahead, i'll drive in front of him and give him the horn. There is a change in perception of a city fan now, I used to go abroad wearing a city shirt and many a fan wanted to talk football and how city was ther 2nd favourite team, that has changed now. I was working in Kent the other week and some fellow I was working with said another one jumped on the bandwagan, which really pi**ed me off. I was trying to justify myself saying how many grounds I have been in the country and how I went to every home and away game in Division 2.

Coming from near Wakefield I don't know too many City fans but I've met about 8-9 over the last 12-14 years.

I have to say, if I see a 'new' city shirt these days, I don't look at them in the same way. :\

went to York few months back saw a bloke wearing his, i was wearing mine he gave a nod a i said alright blue. wife was like what the fuck was that about. then had to explain that i didn't know him but as he was a blue he deserved acknowledgement.

Went Glastonbury Festival this year and it was rare to see a city shirt but there was this one time when i had mine on and i was going to get breakfast and i saw this guy with the FA. Cup winners shirt on (the really cheesy ones) and he saw me and i didn't know him but he just shouted "Up the Blues" and every looked at him and then he just repeated himself haha. :')

Also there were some lads outside the toilets at Glastonbury With These stewards With microphones telling people to not piss in bushes and the lad asked for the mic and he said down it (there were speakers too so alot of people heard him) "don't piss in bushes or De jong will get you... i repeat DE JONG" haha i had my city top on at the time and they were like yes mate haha city, city, city :)

i was at glassto a couple of years ago seen a few blue got kicked out of the orange charging station because we was in there to long talking city.
but yeah when i see a shirt and im in mine a custom nod does the trick. have to be wearing mine tho or i just get funny looks
oh yeah, i know that orange shop haha. it's mint at glastonbury because if you see someone with a city shirt on you just wave to each other and comment on there great footballing taste :'). Oh And i forgot when i was about to go out later on at night i was at my tent to get a jacket and there were a small group of lads singing city songs to themselves. haha brilliant.
