Seeing City fans in public

Just been in Poundstretcher in Kingswood, Bristol and there was a lad of about 10 in his City kit (looked bloody good actually).
Said "good lad, great shirt" and he looked well pleased.
Made me feel good too!

Living down here in Poole in Dorset i sometimes see a City fan and make a comment something along the likes of 'Good choice of shirt' or something similar. Likewise if i'm wearing one of mine, someone might do likewise. Last year when i was in Australia, i was walking around Darling Harbour in Sydney, and a guy walking around with his wife complemented me on the City home shirt i was wearing at the time. City do indeed have a very good cosmopolitan following.

Living in Newcastle its very rare to see one. I used to have a mate in Primaary school who's dad was a city supporter like my dad, but he had died, he used to tell me all about his dad and man city. Football is almost like a medicine for people and its such a great thing to make a connection with an other person who you dont know.

should look more closely Farzy there s at least 30 of us lol

You serious! I never see any, i see the odd student now and then wearing one. Is there a newcastle blues? :P

yes we have a branch in the North East send me a pm and will give you contact details

was casually strolling around New York last week wearing my home shirt and got a fair few comments on it, particularly from our hotel doorman he was a city fan from Guatemala, the morning of the 5-1 thrashing he came up to me screaming "fiiivee ooonnee" guy was a legend.

out with my little boy today, he's in his full home kit and I've got my away top on, seen plenty of fellow blues and not one of em has given us the nod, bloody miserable sods!

-- Sat Sep 03, 2011 1:58 pm --

out with my little boy today, he's in his full home kit and I've got my away top on, seen plenty of fellow blues and not one of em has given us the nod, bloody miserable sods!

Was on hols in hong kong last Monday and saw a chinese guy at a function on our hotel wearing the old first advice shirt, didn't get to speak but it shows the word is spreading.

Was thinking about him only the other day...

Was in a mall having a cuppa with the family in Coquitlam, just outside Vancouver, last year wearing a City shirt and this guy walked passed said "Nice shirt" and just carried on walking!! As we left the mall he was sitting at a table and gave me a thumbs up and a huge smile.

If we hadn't been in a hurry I would have stopped and had a chat but just contented myself with a big grin & thumbs up back at him.
