Not sure what your point is i stated i hope he proves me wrong but i dont think he will. Unlike you and your misplaced hero worship i say things as i see them. Your the sort that no matter what cant admit when there wrong, if robinho doesnt work(i stress i hope he does) you will blame the manager, the pace of the premiership, not settling in england, court case pending, inferior team mates, north easeterly wind
be honest do you think robhino will go down as a great city player
IMO this is exactly what Robbies detractors fail to grasp. The fact that you were flippant and dismissed perfectly legitimate reasons with a throw away, cynical snippet at the end (spelt wrongly btw) shows that you have no understanding of what affects people in general and footballers in particular.
The pace of the premiership: The premiership is the fastest in the world FACT. Any player who has spent his whole footballing career playing at a tempo which lends itself to finding a rhythm for the team rather than the breakneck cut and thrust of the EPL will need time to adjust and by time I'm not just talking about the few months you deem fit to allow him before he comes up to your personal expectations.
Not settling in England: Apart from the weather, I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. Have you heard Robbie say he doesnt like the people? What proof do you have that he hasnt settled domestically? Im guessing youre clutching at straws.
Court case pending: So you honestly believe that theres a player alive who wouldnt be concerned about this turn of events? I believe that if he wasnt affected by this he would have a lot more to be concerned about without realising it. IMO this is the real reason why we arent seeing the best of Robbie, his form has dipped since this incident, before it he was scoring for fun.
The guy is a FUCKING HUMAN BEING first and a footballer second, why people get it the other way round is beyond me and shows a) how fickle they are b) how stupid they are and c) their incapacity to understand that something as potentially serious as this can have an effect on everything he does, let alone kick a ball around a football pitch for their entertainment.
Inferior team mates: We are a work in progress, why cant people accept this and at least show the minimum of patience. For those who think that we can just lump a lot of players together and expect them to gel together straight off is absurd in the extreme.
Considering the talent we have on the pitch every week as opposed to the results we achieve, it suggests to me that if and when we do find the right formula and we have the person at the helm who is going to cultivate the understanding between team mates that we need (MH or other) we would see a much improved team and Robbie would be an integral part.
