Semi tickets go on sale?

From the club point of view the cup scheme clearly works.
Look at the attendances this year - far higher than even 2 years ago.
And haven't the cup games felt far better for it.
Why? Because of the cup scheme and what happened 2 years ago for the semi and final.
From a loyalty point of view, well, we all knew at the start so right or wrong, at least the goalposts haven't changed. Surely that would have been far worse?
Anyway, I agree with previous posts, every season ticket holder who wants a semi ticket will almost certainly get one.

I got a ticket for the last semi but the cup scheme priority back then made me realise I needed to join it.
So I joined the scheme for the last two seasons. Now if the club didnt give priority to cup scheme this time around then I'd be pretty pissed off because I joined the scheme so I would get priority.
People including myself knew the score - join the cup scheme and get a ticket or don't join it and possibly miss out. It's not difficult

We missed out on tickets for the final two years ago, though we were at the semi.

And like you, Wire, that is why we joined the cup scheme. In fact, we joined all three.

And like you, we would be pissed off if our commitment wasn't rewarded by being ahead of those who didn't join up.

3000+ Pts, and not a chance of a ticket, oh never mind will save my money towards my 200 mile trip to each game next season, maybe those with a record of driving over say 150 miles to each game could go to the top of the list instead of those that can walk the ground.

Just a thought and should recieve some interesting feedback!!!!!

Joking apart good luck to those that get one and go and to be honest I could without the week of worrying if I am going to miss out by a day or 500pts would rather know now I am going to get one.

If you want one for the semi you will get one. At the last semi I was thrown out within one minute of stepping foot in the stadium, a few mates outside helped me buy another for lower tier behind the goal for £80, though I don't remember much about it....

Sums it up for me,not saying they,ve got it right, but with one of our tickets more than a 1,000 points below mine,it made sense.

As Jimmy Saville might say, fuck the kids.

I'm all for young blues getting the chance to see City, but not at the expense of long serving blues, who genuinely qualify before them.

This "your kid and their mate can jump the queue" bollocks is all about ensuring that the demographic they want to keep in the stands is favoured.

It was bollocks last time they did it and it's bollocks this time.

As is the holding of people to ransom with a cup scheme. The fact that you have a very small chance of getting a cup ticket, regardless of numbers of years served and season tickets held, if you aren't on the cup, yet some bum who hadn't heard of City 12 months ago and is on the scheme will get one is shite.

And yes, I am on the cup scheme and will easily get a ticket. That doesn't stop me thinking that it is bollocks and bent though.

Good opening line and I agree with every sentiment expressed.

So when my son is old enough for me to buy him a ST, he will never get the chance to go to an away game or cup final with me because he doesn't (and never will) have enough points. That is the reason they can buy when the adult qualifies. They also limit the number of tickets available in this way.

Totally fair in my opinion and I would also agree if I didn't have a son. My dad took me home and away when I was young, which I am sure your dad did for you, and you want to stop that?
