Watching Aguero over the years, there have been two different players imo, due to fitness.
The fully fit Aguero, was probably the best striker the Prem has ever seen. The half fit Aguero was a dangerous cf, & one of the best, but stoppable.
The biggest difference between the two, was a yard of pace.
Sadly, I think that yard of pace has now gone. Having Sane upfront alongside Serge & Sterling, emphasised that from where I'm sat. There was a big difference in Sterling or Sane chasing a through ball, compared to Aguero. And Aguero was pushing, flat out. All credit to him, he ran his balls off.
But that extra yard, was the difference between him getting in front of the defender & being at the side of him.
But the technique & strength is still there.
I think Aguero needs to reinvent himself to compensate for that yard of pace, which will involve passing more & playing more one twos etc. I think he can do it. But I think he has to, or he will lose his first choice position.
