Showed some nice touches, opened up space a few times and played one or two really incisive passes that teammates contrived to fuck up. Still snatching at his shots as most out of form strikers do.

Wasn't great today but he was the only one who I thought I might do something. I don't envy any striker that has to play in front of Delph, Fernando, Navas and Nolito.

That Delph 1st touch was what nightmares are made of. He was dropping back to midfield to help with buildup and picked out some good passes to teammates that should've been capitalized on. He had some good plays with holding up the ball and chasing the opponent down to win back possession. This game needed a playmaker in the midfield to go with 2 of the Dugtrio.

It was frustrating for Sergio and for us, reminded me of the League Cup derby with Nacho stuck up front and getting no service. I did think Serg worked hard though, couldn't fault him for effort, he must have felt like twatting Navas.i think not having any creativity or pace behind him most of the game didn't help.

Not great today but only player to look a little threatening and must have been difficult for him with the midfield behind him. Needs a goal and soon but it'll come.
