The argument weather he fits this city side is still there. He will score a shit load of goals for us, but he needs to be better in the big games. Give him service and he will score, but when we require a bit of hard work and link up play, he doesn’t really fit. I don’t see anyone available in Europe that will replace the goals he scores, so I’m hoping he stays. I think Pep might think otherwise though.

Fair enough but yesterday was a big game. If we had back to back poor results the pressure would have been hyped up on Pep and the lads.

I am pleased he got a hat trick and is back amongst the goals but an outstanding header it was not, lucky it touched him for him to claim the goal, besides all that it would have still went in untouched as Agueros hair didn't deviate the ball in the slightest lol

Still it gave him the confidence to play well and nobody is complaining at that :)

That really depends how you define a big game. You seem to mean any important game but I think M_ll was referring to games against decent teams we aren't expected to beat comfortably.

I think Sergio’s record is pretty good against the likes of the rags and Liverpool. He notched an important goal in Naples too. Most strikers will score more against Newcastle than the rest of the Top 6

It diverted the trajectory of the ball slightly (not the direction) that helped the ball into the goal. We don’t know whether or not the keeper would have saved the goal without Aguero’s slight contact if Aguero hasn’t been so close to the ball the keeper would have just collected the ball at the back post.

No he didn't by the way,don't believe everything you see on telly,it shows half a story,as you well know,he was on the shoulder of the defence for over 90% of the game,unlike 20 % like he was last Sunday,my issue for the record is highlighting again posters like you,it is pretty easy to narrow them down,last week should be gone,this week hattrick,but fair enough for coming out,doesn't stop making you an hypocrite like,but most know this anyway I suppose/

He can still score goals that is for sure. Thought he was anonymous for the first 30 mins and he haa so clearly lost his pace. His touch and passing was below par too. But he got into the game and started playing some good passes and taking players on.

I saw glimpses of what i think Pep wants from him but despite the three goals he does not play the overall style that Jesus does and Pep wants with good first time passes into the midfield and harrassing the opposition players.

Still can you criticise a guy who scores the perfect hattrick?!

Crikey. You still don’t understand that all the players have to do the same work. The striker is probably the most important cog in making the full press work as it stops the defence from being able to pick the aimed long pass over the high back line.

I see less than Pep. You know, the manager, the guy you’d rather did things your way so that Aguero shines and scores more and rests up, to the detriment of the team.

Having been a season ticket holder for twenty years I’m well aware that people can watch the entire game with a perfect view in the stand and still not have a clue what’s going on in front of them.
