Sergio Aguero announces his retirement | A thread to pay tribute

What a lot of people don't appreciate about Aguero is his consistency. He was a top goalscorer for us for 10 years, despite his injury problems. Strikers don't tend to have a long life, look at Owen, Torres, Fowler, etc, Kane looks like he's starting to wane. To be a consistent top player since a teenager to his 30's is very impressive.
And he did it all thousands of miles from his homeland.

You take things for granted and sometimes that’s maybe how it was with Aguero along with the other players, then when he left you realised what a phenomenal player we had for that time,up with Kompany and Silva and soon to be recognised just like those two with his very own statue..Stay safe and healthy Kun ..

When Dzeko equalised in the QPR game it almost made it worse for me as a single goal separated City from being champions. I admit that my faith in City has never been tested so much. Thank God the team and Sergio in particular had more belief in themselves than, momentarily, I had in them. The 93:20 will never be equaled for this fan no matter what City go on to achieve. Very sad that I will never have the privilege of watching Sergio again, but feel blessed to have seen him at all. What a player.
