Sergio Aguero leaves City after 10 years

I'm still reeling from the news that Sergio Aguero will be leaving soon. To help me focus I've written the following long read piece on him. I wouldn't have paid him 200k a week moving on from the season he has just had, they know how bad his injuries are becoming, harder to recover from in days/weeks/months.

Football seems to be the only place that people still expect to get paid the same or more as they get further away from their prime years.

If Aguero really wanted to stay then he would have signed any deal to stay, he surely can't need the extra money, so the wage then becomes a status symbol, I can't be seen to play for less than £XXXXX

For some like Fernie, they want 2 years but frequently clubs are offering just 1-year deals to older players now.

I would have liked Aguero to stay one more year and finish on a real high, hopefully, he still can and walk off with the Quad or a treble at least.
 
These guys have been heroes on and off the pitch never let our club down sad times indeed but I think serg will smile again as soon as Dave starts to feed him again.

Trust Pep he will have planned and things are maybe moving in the background??
 
I've no idea where he will go, but at the end of 2019 I was in Buenos Aires, and visited Boca (as tourists are encouraged to do) and they were so proud that Tevez had returned home to finish his career there. He was a huge hero, and those I spoke to recall his city time fondly. Sergio could return home to BA and I am sure he will be as, if not more, revered than Carlos.
