What's a compromise offer?

There's 2 things that matter in this contract negotiation, playing time and money.

You can't compromise on playing time, if Aguero stays he's going to be on the bench behind the new guy 7 times out of 10 at least, that's just the nature of buying a world class number 9.

And as for money, when has the club ever been stingy?

Adore them by all means Kaz. I don’t know Kun, I’ve never met him, but by all accounts by those I do know, he’s a top bloke, which isn’t something universally said about some players I loved at City.

It’s possible to be sad that he’s leaving (I’m terribly sad due to what he meant to me and the time at City he represents) and not take that out on the current management. They have to see through the sentiment, they have to look forward to the next 2-5 years. To the next batch of players that will win the next batch of trophies. To players that will mean as much to some fans in the future, that Aguero means to you, and me, and 99% of people on this forum. It’s literally their (very well paid) job to do that and to make these decisions and they’ll live and die by them. But it’s not personal.

Perfectly put, we have to look forward to watching the next Kun Aguero for a decade please god !

I cant help the way i am , i adore the legends , that is just me , this feels like a mucky kind of end to me , the fact he doesnt want to leave really is killing me

And that us what it is. And this story has a wonderful beginning and and a pretty good ending too, even if it is sooner than we'd like.

What it doesn't need is imaginary good guys and bad guys to the story. Clearly the club all agreed it. The timing of Khaldoon's announcement followed immediately by Sergio's own words, says it was pre-planned.

Let's not read into it more than needs read, it is his time, he will get what he is after elsewhere be it minutes money or length of contract. And we get to say thank you for a wonderful decade and await a new striker.

Madness the amount of people happy that he’s leaving. As Kaz has said, we’ve seen interviews saying he gets to choose when and how he leaves. That doesn’t appear to be the case. I have said this many times but that man gave me the best day of my life, it’s shoddy how he’s been forced out.

He hasn't been forced out. And people are grossly misunderstanding the choosing when they leave comment. They all got to see their contracts out. They werent offered round to clubs into their last year yo reclaim some transfer fee. They chose to stay till their contract ran out and chose to not accept a new one.
