Sergio Aguero leaves City after 10 years

And that us what it is. And this story has a wonderful beginning and and a pretty good ending too, even if it is sooner than we'd like.

What it doesn't need is imaginary good guys and bad guys to the story. Clearly the club all agreed it. The timing of Khaldoon's announcement followed immediately by Sergio's own words, says it was pre-planned.

Let's not read into it more than needs read, it is his time, he will get what he is after elsewhere be it minutes money or length of contract. And we get to say thank you for a wonderful decade and await a new striker.
I will calm down , i literally didnt know about it till i came on here after lunch ish , i wasnt expecting it and fired off , emotional is me , i will get over it as i have with dave a!though i still miss him . Sergio is special..to all of us

About 2 hours ago I think, could be wrong.
I thought it was from about 18 months ago when it was entirely true. Aguero from 18 months ago is irreplaceable. And that player hasn’t been replaced. We’ve entirely changed the way we play as the Aguero we had then before the injury and surgery hasn’t been available.

Could be, age catches up with us all sooner or later, alas doesn't make it feel less sad at the passing of a great from our squad.

1) He did earn the right to decide it and has. He wasn’t happy with the contract offer City put on the table and wanted longer with more money that City were willing to commit to.

2) This isn’t a ‘Pep’ decision. The contracts are Ferran, Txiki and Khaldoon.

Try and take emotion out of it and see that it’s best for all parties, enjoy the good times and hope he helps us win four trophies over the next 2-3 months.
I don’t see why some City can’t see this is for the best. He’s 33 at the beginning of next season and now is the perfect time to get in our new striker which will lead the line for a decade. We’ve barely missed him this year with our fluidity and energy up top and when he does play, I get the feeling that he’s not the best fit for us anymore. When you’re at the top like we are at the minute, you have to be ruthless. Pep has got plenty of experience when it comes to letting older players leave at the right time.

Players come back into form , he had been fit but pep hasnt played him , how can he prove his fitness on the bench , leaves a bad taste this ending this way , it doesnt feel like the vinny and dave exits to me
Give over.
I'm sure Aguero had as much say in this as anybody else
Every footballer knows his last proper contract should be the best he can get and if he has a juicy offer on, or probably under the table then he should take it.
This is presuming he's fit but there's only about 6 people who really know that and none of em come on here.

The press are reporting that we're not offering Aguero a new contract. I'm hoping that Aguero wants to leave and not that we've not offered a new contract if he wanted it. I hope we're not forcing him out.

I'm bloody sure of it. He may not have the blistering pace over 5 yards which he once had, but the goal-scoring instinct doesn't just vanish. He's incredibly skilful on the ball and always comes alive in the penalty area, whereas many players lose the plot. He's got plenty of goals left in him, I am sure.

Please God don't let him go to Liverpool or the Rags - I could not bear it.
This no contract offer has nothing to do with his goals or being ok in & around the box or playing the triangles & being in the rightplace right time its 1 reason only he aint getting a new deal & thats him not being able to defend from the front, he aint know young bird he aint that player who will shut down anyones attack from the back, in transition after winning the ball on the counter he aint busting a gut to get in the box only for the attack to break down & then expecting him to go into high press mode this is where it falls down

Pep & rightly so can't trust Aguero in these must win games

It's simple for me, get tnisleague won & he plays from the start untill the end of the season

I have no doubt he will captain City v Everton if fit & along with Dino around 85 minutes he will leave the pitch to 10.000 fans aplauding & crying & no doubt about it he will also shed a tear or 2

The guy deserves everything I just hope we can finish with at least 3 trophys

Been dreading the day that sergio leaves us. These past ten years he's felt part of my family. Probably been said already but I really admire his honesty as a top top player. A true professional and such a great role model for kids today. In those dying seconds when he scored THAT goal against QPR I wonder how many players would stay on their feet when they felt the contact from the defender ? So many cheats in the game today who go down with the slightest touch. Thank you Kun for your honesty, your humility and your ability to put that ball in the net for us on so many occasions. True legend.
