i just don't think we can leave ourselves open to a situation where we let tevez go and then find out that our replacement has moved to a different club and we haven't got a suitable back up option

Agreed, once we know aguero is in. Sell Tevez. And hey if we refuse the offer, well we can use tevez as back up! HA!

We already have two strikers with excellent potential and honestly anyone we bring in is also someone with potential. Aguero isn't proven at City.

Anyway, Real is likely looking for a taller striker in the mold of Adebayor (but more consistent) and not Aguero.

I imagine we'd be alerted if anyone else bid for Aguero.

absolutely. I'd have to think any player we are remotely interested in, the selling team would let us know of a bid to see if we'd offer that selling team more for him.

Nearly 200 pages… have we had any concrete links yet?

what's your definition of concrete? The OS? Of course not. The Times, Guardian, etc? Yes.

we were in pole position for sanchez until barca turned up. it worries me that losing tevez would leave us wide open. ballo is very injury prone and dzeko hasn't settled in yet. tevez must stay until we get aguero imo

Both Mario's knee and Mario's head give me cause for concern that we can expect anything like a full season out of him

Unfortunately, nothing is certain. We have to simply do the best we can and hope injuries don't hit too hard.
