Yeah, Liam! Says who?!

I like Balotelli alot but Aguero is only a year older than him and already scores over 20 goals a season.
I like Aguero but that logic is a bit flawed. Balotelli was injured time and again in the same fookin' spot (knee). In addition, Balo was in a new league, new team. As compared to Aguero who was practically blooded into Athletico where the team plays to him first and foremost.

Balotelli only had 12 appearances (5 as sub). He scored what, 10, maybe a few more? Not to mention loads of class strikers that any other day would have/should have have gone in (And yes, I know there's no such thing as 'should have' if it didn't happen).

Aguero had 31 appearances. I'll let you deduce the point I'm making on your own.

Dear ANY1.
So kind of you to call me 'sonny' and give me a verbal hair ruffling.
Unfortunately, I am in my 40s, have watched City since the late 70s, and have therefore long grown immune to being patronised by rags, Yanks, WUMs and dickheads.
You tick at least two of the above boxes, and maybe all of them.
I think enough people on here know I have earned my bones. I am not hard to find pre-match, so you are welcome to discuss this matter in more depth at the Waldorf, Macs, The Manchester, The Townley etc.
You are as blue as Shakin Bacon's nose.

I'm not reading that

Sinister post is sinister.

By the way, great post. I love it when people stand up for themselves.

I'm going to be really inflamatory here - from what i've seen of this guy Aguero, he's certainly not worth 30m+. Looks very overrated when compared with the likes of Messi, Di Maria etc.
Perhaps an unfair comparison - but lets just say I wasn't as impressed as some on this site seem to have been with him.
Just because he's Argentinian, doesn't mean he's all that.....................hope we're not in danger of panic buying, and I certainly rate Nasri or Modric as better. In fact, I think the pair of Dzeko and Balotelli are better.

I have to disagree! Aguero is worth every penny of his release clause. To put Messi and any other footballer in a sentence in terms of comparison is silly tbh. To compare Di Maria and Aquero is also silly as they play in different positions. Aguero has it all, pace, dribbling ability and scores all sorts of goals. I like Balotelli alot but Aguero is only a year older than him and already scores over 20 goals a season, add to this that Aguero can also play wide right and be just as effective also adds to his price. I guarantee that if/when we do sign him he will change your opinion of him in a short period of time! The guys is sheer class
But how strong is Spanish football? Forlan and Rossi score bucketloads. I rate Aguero, but the strength in depth of Spanish football isn't as good as the Premiership. Another example: Caicedo

Spanish football is stronger than alot of people think. The Barca and Real story always overshadow's how competitive La Liga is on the whole. Caicedo definately didn't score bucketloads in La Liga and infact i'd say his strike rate was better here in terms of goals vs appearances. Rossi was young when he left the Rag's and has developed into a very good striker. Forlan flopped which i can give you a point on but theres no need to worry about Aguero if we sign him coz he has everything to succeed in the PL

By the nature of release clauses they are set prohibitivlly high to prevent clubs making silly bids ie 22 Mlillion for Modric - by there very nature do not represent the true value of a player in most instances because the are high

45 million is a lot ot dosh but he looks to be the best out there

When an unfit Carrol goes for £35m and an unfit Torres goes for £50m the realism of £42m for imo the best young striker in the world isn't so much but i totally understand your point.

The Carrol and Torres signings were ridiculas borne of desperation more than anything else but Carrols price was to a greater or lesser extent determined by the Torres transfer value - had Torres gone for less Carrol would have gone for less

There are few few footballers worth over 10 million let alone 40 million and Tevez is one and Aguero could be but still an unknown quamtity but young enough to have some resale value

If you look at Balotelli's and Aguero's careers since they broke into the first teams (Inter for Balo) you will see Aguero far outshines Balo in goals scored. I love Balo but i don't feel he is the out and out goalscorer we will need when Tevez goes
