Shirley Atletico would be up for a swap with Tev.
If that was the case and Tevez doesn't agree/won't lower wages, he'll have shown his hand.
........and dont call me Shirley.

I like Aguero but that logic is a bit flawed. Balotelli was injured time and again in the same fookin' spot (knee). In addition, Balo was in a new league, new team. As compared to Aguero who was practically blooded into Athletico where the team plays to him first and foremost.

Balotelli only had 12 appearances (5 as sub). He scored what, 10, maybe a few more? Not to mention loads of class strikers that any other day would have/should have have gone in (And yes, I know there's no such thing as 'should have' if it didn't happen).

Aguero had 31 appearances. I'll let you deduce the point I'm making on your own.

If you look at Balotelli's and Aguero's careers since they broke into the first teams (Inter for Balo) you will see Aguero far outshines Balo in goals scored. I love Balo but i don't feel he is the out and out goalscorer we will need when Tevez goes

1) aguero is born in 1988 june. balo in 1990 august. that do 26 months difference.

2) if you go to see the goals/minutes played you'll see balo is more prolific , has a better ratio , than aguero , both when aguero was 20 and now.
Yep. Bring in Aguero though so we can have two still developing class strikers.

but who else is available

Thr only other striker is Drogba but he would cost a fookin fortune and want a long contract

Benzema - aint quick enough
Eto - wont come thank god
Villa - quality player but not sure he would come
Messi - just not good enough for where we are going

In all honesty who out there is available and good enough

I just truly hope we get aguero, as above poster said, who else is there? Aguero fits the bill and is one of the only great strikers that is most likely available at the moment. Get him!

I seem to remember somewhere that he wants or wanted to stay in RM and his preffered club was Real - Nightmare scenario to be honest this whole transfer winfdow could go tits up

-- Wed Jul 13, 2011 12:24 am --

Eto'o would be outrageously good for City.
When dickhead pundits in the British media are wanking over Kevin Phillips at 38, and Giggs at 39, it depresses me seeing people on here writing off the best natural goalscorer in global football over the last decade at 30.
Pure class and a much better striker than Tevez.

I'm on that....I think Eto'o would bag loads of goals for us....he's a great striker and probably good for another 2 probably 3 seasons....would bring Balo and Dzeko on with his knowledge and experience....a **** with it by all accounts....but if he bangs em in and sits in a corner in the dressing room....nuff said.....

If this is true, then the opposite has also been widely reported.

The swap deal was rejected because Inter didn't want to, not Eto'o.
