In the final season of Frank Riijkaard's tenure at Barça, eight (yes, eight!) players either separated from their girlfriend/wife or actually got divorced.

Just something I remembered!.
I think if you took any random twenty four blokes from around the planet and put them in Barcelona's squad they'd nearly all split up from their wives/girlfriends in double quick time tbh!

Okay fans need to get behind him big time, sing his name as loudly as you can blues! Maybe they can still work out their relationship? From what I've read it's due to her partying, that's something small they can reach a compromise can't they? Really hope he stays, my fab player.

isnt the second time they split up, at atletico he cheated on her, she went back to argentina wiht his kid, then they got back together.

I've camped outside his house for a couple of nights now, singing him my favourite sings from Dirty Dancing and reciting poems declaring my undying love (or at least till Zabs is single).
I think it's helped him over this difficult time.

Well if she is in Argentina , then it's not good ...... not much chance of Sergio seeing much of his kid there , full stop.

If she's in Spain it's not so bad , a couple of hours on a flight every now and again to see his kid might just keep him sweet as to the idea of him remaining here to play his football ..... but we don't know the way Sergio thinks , and we can't feel his pain , we'll just have to see how things go.

He's been in good form lately , and we can only hope that continues ...

Quite the opposite. If she's in Spain then that'd probably make him keen to move back to Madrid or Barca.

If she's in Argentina, frankly no Argentinian side could afford him and moving back to Spain won't bring him any closer to Buenos Aires.

Not strictly true, as there's direct flight from Madrid to Buenos Aires iirc.

-- Sat Jan 05, 2013 8:54 am --
