Fair dos. He gets rave reviews even on there.
I also like their bile ridden comments about us. Our rise to prominence still really stings.

Some pretty good and balanced comments on that thread actually. This one in particular:

"Incredible. I think he's better than Suárez at the moment. He plays very well against the big teams, whereas Suárez more of a 'flat-track bully'. "
There are towards Sergio, for sure. I was drawing the distinction with some of the comments towards us as a club, which are delusional and bitter.

Sergio Aguero is a model professional footballer.

Plays hard ,fast,fair.
Clinical finisher strong as an ox,and takes no crap from any of the other Donkeys from other teams in the league.

He is a stand alone player who makes football worth watching .

He's in a great team and his team mates feed him the ball,he has god like status and can win everything here at city.

Makes you laugh when people were saying " how's he going to cope though in winter"?
Answer ..... He will play like a demon and rip your team a new arsehole.

In his recent interview, he basically said he likes life here more than Spain, because he can live a quiet life without hassles. The only ? would be his son Benjamin, but AFAIK he isn't in Spain but Argentina, and is over to see Sergio regularly. I think he'll be here for a while yet. Even if Real Madrid offered a world record fee... why? What do we gain by selling him? Can you imagine trying to replace him? I guess Luis Suarez would do a good job in a similar role, but Aguero is the club's modern day icon and you don't casually sell such a player.

Thing is, as good as Suarez is as a footballer, when you compare the full package he falls so drastically short it's not even funny.

Being a marketable role model is very important to a club like ours. Sergio is the face of the rise of City as a global force. If he needs a teleportation device building between here and his son in Argentina we should make sure he gets it.

Just on 5 Live...

Former Manchester City defender and manager Peter Reid on his old side's 6-0 win over Tottenham on Sunday: "Manchester City have got one of the most in-form players in the Premier League, and possibly the world, in Sergio Aguero. His partnership with Alvaro Negredo is looking very promising. They are still my pick to win the league.

"Tottenham though looked really poor, really 'milky'. They got beat too easily."

I assume the milky comments relates to Spurs try hard spewy pants?

Man City hitman is now the most clinical in the history of the Premier League, more so than icons at Arsenal, Newcastle United and Manchester United.

Striking legends such as Didier Drogba at Chelsea, or Alan Shearer at Newcastle United, Thierry Henry at Arsenal or even Ruud van Nistelrooy at Manchester United were never as efficient as a forward currently plying his trade for a Premier League club… and it is not Liverpool's man-of-the-moment Luis Suarez, but Manchester City diamond Sergio Aguero.

According to the latest statistical data released by the Premier League, Sergio Aguero - who has scored more goals this season than the whole of Tottenham Hotspur combined - has the best minutes per goal ratio than any other striker who has scored 40+ goals in Premier League competition. To see how Kun compares to other legends of English football, see the table below…

Aguero has been on terrific form this season, returning a nine-minute brace during his side's 6-0 rout of Tottenham Hotspur to take his season tally to date to ten; the first player this season to reach double figures.

The technically-exquisite Argentine's goal-scoring is punctuated further by his shooting accuracy - an astonishing 72% this season - as 23 of his 32 shots have found the target.

Furthermore, he has also created 20 chances, provided four assists and completed 82% of his 271 passes to show that his all-round attacking play places him in comparison to Liverpool's Suarez.

However, this latest data shows if Aguero maintains his current form - as the only player to boast a goal ratio that betters one every two hours - he may well leave England as the greatest forward the Premier League has seen.

Just watched tunnel cam and Sergio goes out of his way to be nice to the young mascot. He is a gem of a bloke as well as a player. We are very lucky to have him. Fantastic striker.
