Manchester Cityare poised to enter the battle for
Sergio Ramos, according to our sister paper The Mirror.
The Real Madrid defender is at the centre of a bitter contract wrangle with his club with
Manchester Unitedtrying to prise him away.
The Reds have already had two bids rejected by Real, who the paper say want a staggering £64m for the 29-year-old centre-half.
United are themselves digging their heels in over their £35million valuation for keeper and Real target David de Gea.
Pedro Riesco, who works with Ramos' brother and agent Rene, said: "With everything that has happened it will be very difficult for Sergio Ramos to stay at Madrid."
City are said to be poised to take advantage of the stand-off between United and Real with a bid of their own.
The Mail report that Real Madrid star
Gareth Balehas met City CEO Ferran Soriano in New York.
Bale, linked with a move to the Etihad, took time out of his post-season vacation to watch the New York derby at Yankee Stadium on Sunday night.
Andrea Pirlo and ex-Blue Frank Lampard were there for the MLS clash between New York City and New York Red Bulls.
But it was Bale who posed with the New York City shirt alongside the Blues chief during the Red Bulls’ 3-1 victory.
Meanwhile, City striker
Edin Dzekohas again been linked with Roma with his Bosnian international team-mate Miralem Pjanic saying Dzeko "would run" to join him in the Italian capital.
