Sergio should go down more easily. Discuss

This probably wont go down with certain Blues but the worst offender in our squad id Dzeko.Never seen a big man go down so easily and he`s hardly a lightweight.About time he took a leaf out of Sergios book.
By the way, nice to hear Moyes give Young and Co some stick.Fairs fair,so well done on giving an honest opinion.

Never. Referees should start to award free kicks for legitimate fouls regardless of the theatricals that take place or don't take place. It's bloody obvious that players are fouled but they now realise that unless they clatter to the floor like some drunk just chucked out at closing time they aren't going to get a free kick because the bloody useless wanker with the whistle will let the game flow if the player is still on his feet and the opportunity is generally lost.

How many times do we see players yanked BACKWARDS by a defender pulling their arm or shirt but still manage to fall FORWARDS and get a free kick. Plzen had a couple of goes like this because they realise that the quickest way to penetrate the area is to launch a fake free kick into the oppo defence!

Well done to Sergio for showing folk how the game should be played.

No cheats in our shirts please!

Young & Rooney have besmirched their reputations and that of their club - they're cheats.............

People have missed the point of the OP. He's not saying he should dive, Sergio clearly gets fouled a lot and the majority of the time nothing comes of the following few seconds. I love that he stays on his feet for obvious reasons, but there are occasions where he should let the foul take him down.

That's the thing,if he stayed on his feet and showed more desire and aggression then he would be a far more effective and consistent player.

Yaya is another who needs little encouragement.....

As Caveman alluded to, it's easy to fall out of love with football as it becomes ever more cynical and littered with win at all costs methods. It's still the beautiful game, but only just.

Sergio and his honesty are one of the few reasons my faith in the game remains. I don't care if it costs us points from time to time. This is the only way to play football.

Couldn`t agree more FI.I bet we hardly (if ever) see Negredo going down like a sack of spuds and I hope Dzeko can learn something from him ref how to put himself about and use his upper body strength.

Thats a ridiculous statement... I'm sorry.

Sergio is one of the best players in the world, because he is able to keep his feet and is incredibly strong. Do you want him out there, second guessing himself, as to whether he should go down or not...? I dont.
