Serie A Thread - 2023/24

2-1, handbags flying and it’s finally over. Just about held their shit.

Played so well. Then proceed to shit the bed to allow Empoli back in it. Nonetheless, 3 points for Frosinone

Much needed win for Milan in the Champions League. Haven’t seen the game yet but must say I’ve been impressed by how well Tijani Reijnders has settled. Think he’s an incredibly talented midfielder, with great poise and stamina, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him in England some time.

Three more points for Genoa last night and now up to thirteenth. Would have been a more comfortable win had Puscas been more like Puskas. That loss means 6 straight defeats now for Verona and a paltry 2 points from 33. Notice that all three of the promoted sides are currently out of the relegation zone.

Pick of the weekend games are probably Fiorentina at home to Bologna and then the Rome derby, both games tomorrow.

Lecce claw back a two-goal defecit to take a point from Milan. Might have taken all three had VAR not intervened and that fantastic strike had been allowed to stand.
