altho weve done extremely well this season the fact that we have played a number of games more than the teams around us at this stage of the season has in a bit of a false position.

we still have to go to the swamp, stamford bridge anfailed, goodison and could conceivably lose ground on arsenal and the rags before mid-feb. that said i still think we should easily claim at least 4th, with spurs staying in the champions league after xmas that will be their main focus over the coming weeks once thats starts up again.

weve still made up a lot of ground considering 99% of the squad have either 6 or 18 months at city and in the premier league. and should be more than happy with how far we've come in the 13 months since mancini has been in charge.

Yes this may be a bit "knee jerk" but it's worth debating.

Looking at the table IF United win their two games in hand they will be NINE points clear of us & should they beat us that will make it TWELVE.

Seriously everyone is it good enough that considering that United have hardly made any further investment & can't splash out on players & comparing this to our mass expenditure & recruitment that we could find ourselves in that position?.
Surely we should be doing better than this?.

I sadly fear that we could end up 15 points adrift come May & we will be in the same situation as last season, competing with Spurs for 4th.
The team has to start showing more belief & desire in great abundance.

Weve just been on a fairry great run couple of losses in our last 16/17 matches to me thats not bad is it?..Everyone still raves about spurs how good they are,arnt they 7 points behind us,and old wonky eye has spent a fair bit in the transfer market,and in front of chelsea too...Come on for fuck sakes blues look at the table this morning you must be more than happy,Onwards and upwards that was a blip.top 3 this season and everyones happy arnt we?

We should not settle for 4th spot. It's has got to be 3rd or higher for me. I think people are forgetting that if we get 4th we then have to play the qualifying games (like Spurs did). Automatic qualification is given to 1st 2nd and 3rd.

Maybe 3rd, had we not just battered villa as we did Sunderland etc I'd be worried, as it is we've not deserved a defeat all season so we must be doing something right.
